This is what can happen when you don't completely pick one direction and play in the middle ( raps, GSW)
As a Raptor fan, I'd rather have us sell and tank than be a middle of the pack team in the east gunning for a play in seed. Especially with how good the top of next year's draft looks

raps should sell FVV and siakam to tank for a year and then jump right back into it with a core around barnes and og.
i think the raps should do a 3 way deal with the suns and wizards. raps get ayton, deni avdija, and filler with picks. suns get siakam and kuzma. wizards get FVV and jae crowder.
I personally don’t think Barnes is good enough to try to build around but that’s just me.
They don't have a center
The Raptors really need someone that can create in the half-court offense. Siakam and Barnes are best in transition, and the last few games they have really been having problems generating good offense without as many steals to create transition. Watching Siakam continue to start at the top of the key, try to get downhill and lose the ball either from a mishandle, or just bad decision making is getting old. And Vanvleet can initiate the offense fine, but somebody has to hit a bloody shot.
Honestly guys. You need to talk more and shout at each other less. It's getting tiresome.
OG would look nice next to Luka!
Tear it down. Make a trade with Portland for a Shaedon Sharpe package. Dump Van Shit and GTJ for picks and expirings. Go into the toilet this year and get a lottery.
Get rid of van fleet and let Barnes thrive as the PG

I like siakam for KAT. Siakam is perfect with edwards n Russell, and KATE biggest issue is leadership. Under a great org he could become his best like Wiggins in gsw
Anunoby to the Blazers for Sharpe/Hart/2023 1st and 2nd round picks. Birch/Flynn 2023 1st and 2nd round picks to the Spurs from the Blazers for Poeltl. VanVleet/Hart/Barnes/Siakam/Poeltl with Sharpe as a prospect and resign VanVleet/Trent Jr to good deals this summer. Done and done.
I’d take Og and Pascal over Scottie Barnes they just need a next level guard. Maybe Scottie Barnes for lamely?
Kevin is soo wrong on this take the raptors aren't trading Pascal OG or scottie that's their core 3 that they want to build around and you don't trade a top 15 player like Pascal PERIOD, he's not asking out you have him for 2 more years in his prime, no way raptors get equal or better value for him. If the raptors trade players it better be FRED first and foremost then maybe Gary Birch Flynn Thad Otto etc, but the raptors better not trade this years first hopefully just next year's if they want to get better.

Siakam is an All-NBA player averaging 25/9/7.. The US media disrespect him because he plays in Canada.
raptors one of the best managed and coached teams year in and year out. all they really need in a given year is a superstar who can take that last shot, and get things flowing again if the offense stalls or if it is a high pressure moment. if you added a healthy kawhi to this years team even, they would be high odds to win. they just always had trouble getting that guy because superstars don't want to play in toronto.
I don’t know how the contracts would work but could they try trade picks and players for a Bradley Beal or a Derozan or Zach Lavine a mid to low tier star from team looking to tank, that improves them enough to top 3 team in east
I love VanVleet but he shouldn't be the primary initiator of the offense. He served best as a relief option to the main pg like Lowry, be it starting next to one or as a 6th man.
Scottie isnt there yet, and probably projects to be more of a forward instead of a guard like they want him to be

Raptors should trade for picks and young prospects while keeping Scotty to teams with historically bad front offices like the Knicks or Kings.
OG and Scottie are the 2 untouchables. OG is close enough in age to Barnes that they can be your next core. I wouldn’t want to trade Siakam either but if you are gonna do a full rebuild or retool you probably have to move him

The worst position that any team can be in is right in the middle of the pack. Never good enough to make it past the play-in/first round, never bad enough to draft high.
I'd much rather the Raptors sell-off everyone and build young with Scottie being the "old guy" who's learned from the championship vets for a couple years. Having an OKC-esque team is WAY more attractive to me and more entertaining too.

What ever the raptors need to do, it's a guarantee that Masai and Webster will figure it out, and make the right decisions. In Masai I trust. I get a sense something may happen with Golden State (Kuminga, Wiseman)
Why not keep OG. What's the reason for getting rid of OG. Build around Scottie and OG. Sell high on Siakam for picks and young assets, sell Fred, GTJ, and Boucher for more assets. That would be a faster rebuild than trading everyone but Scottie. Keeping only Scottie is a total blow it up.
