  1. I watch almost every Mavs game.

Good analysis, Luka gets his teammates open so often, they are unprepared when it is there time to get open for themselves when Luka is off the floor.

For the Mavs to win, Bullock, Finney Smith, Hardaway, and Kleber have to hit at least 1 three. They lack confidence the first miss they have. It's literally Luka trying to get his teammates motivated all game 😭

Nice video Rusty, hopefully the Mavs start Josh Green, Christian Wood, and get him another ball handler

  2. Mavs should've never traded Porzingis and never let Brunson go. Their new GM (who was a Nike exec or something before getting into the NBA) is not doing very well imo. They also had the ability to sign Brunson to an extension before the trade deadline and just said no. The contract wasn't even that prohibitive and I feel like Cuban would be fine paying the luxury tax.

Essentially they could've had Luka + 2 borderline all-stars and now they have just Luka and nothing in return for either player they lost.

  3. I just honestly hope that Luka isnt dumb enough to wait this out and not demand a trade in the next year. Put pressure on FO and if they dont improve get the fck out of town before they waste half your career like they did whole of Dirks.

  4. People keep comparing Luka’s situation to Harden’s.. and I honestly disagree. Harden had a lot more help during his years in Houston than Luka does right now

  5. I don't think the lack of shot creation is Mavs biggest problem at the moment. It was at beginning of season, but it seems Kemba provide that role. If he can get 10-15 minutes into roatation Mavs should be better in that regards. That being said I know that with Kemba it is only the matter of time and he will get injured again.

Yet I think this season, or right now to be more precise, their biggest flaw is defense. Partially because of injuries – 3 of the best Mavs defenders are out at the moment -> Maxi, probably out for the season, Josh Green will be re-evaulated in couple of weeks and DFS went out yesterday with no timeline left. I assume Josh and Finney-smith will be back and permimeter defense will be better, but rim protection is non existent on this team and it seems that other teams have figured it out.

Another big flaw is free throw shooting. Mavs have lost 7 games by 1-2 point margin where they missed over 7 free throws. This has to be mental thing. it they would hit 2-3 free throws they missed, they would have 21-9 record and would be first in the west.

On the one hand I think they can be back on play off track with one extra piece, on the other hand I feel Mavs are in much worse spot then last year even though record is similar.

  6. Cuban is too preoccupied with giving out his outsized ego advice on buying crypto and Amazon to know how to manage his team. What an incredibly large ego for such a tiny person.

  7. THIS SHOWS HOW HYPOCRITICAL NBA FANS ARE OH AND NBA FANS HAVE SELECTIVE SHORT MEMORIES: WHEN LEBRON WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND WHEN HE DECIDED TO EXERCISE HIS FREE AGENCY👈….ILL TYPE IT AGAIN ! EXERCISE HIS FREE AGENCY AND WENT TO A TEAM THAT WAS TRYING TO CONTEND' HE WAS FAULTED FOR NOT STAYING ( he stayed 7 seasons in Cleveland)👈…… Fast forward to 2022 Luka gets a pass for dealing with the same issues…..# make it make sense 🤔 I

  8. They have a good team. Luka should start to play team basketball and care less about stats. He had KP, who is a really good player – right now playing great basketball in WSH. Luka right now is not ready to give part of his shots to the second star. He is not willing to share the spotlight. So, this situation is his fault.
P.S. Luka is soft on defence. Defence wins titles – thats the fact. There are 2 ends of the floor! 2!

  9. The problem like he saying the playbook is ran through luka and someone like Brunson(thank luka) who can run the point and be point guard on a bad shooting night will pass and help set up better the just passing the corner 3 or outside 3 he need to play off ball more but that’s hard because no one else on the team has a high offensive IQ then Luka Spencer and Kemba are score first so that doesn’t work they fumbling because how the playbook is

  10. It's like Jordan in the 80s. Luka's the best or close to the best player in the NBA, but solo players can't win games every time. God forbid he gets hurt, the Mavs will join the Rockets!

  11. There’s literally nothing the Mavs can do. Nobody good is ever going to sign there. No one good ever has.

They’re not a free agent destination and they have no assets.

  12. 5:14 3 or 4 picks is absolutely enough to get Luka another star. The only reason why KD is still with the Nets is because no team was willing to offer up much in their future for him, for example. Basically any Bulls starter, if they decide to try and rebuild, would also be on the table (although defense would be questionable, so maybe not ideal). Another poor year in the playoffs might convince the Suns to try and ship off an aging CP3. If the Jazz aren't super confident in their lottery odds or playoff odds come the deadline, then Lauri Markkanen should be an option, who should be an all-star this season. Lakers realistically should be looking to rebuild, but I doubt it's going to happen this season. Either way, AD isn't completely off the table, either. Bradley Beal should be an option, too, but he has a no trade clause and the Wizards are content with never really becoming contenders I guess.

I feel like you saw the Rudy Gobert trade and somehow got it in your head that 5 picks are necessary to get another star player, but that's just not the case.

  13. They suffer from being being to decent or good too quickly. They never really had the assets to build around him properly. Think the early Lebron Cavs.

  14. ngl why was your prize picks sponsor segment made me want to try prize picks compared to other creators lmao

  15. Luka is not without blame for the Mavs season so far. If you watch all the Mavs games you can easily question his effort and attitude in a lot of games. He flops way too much and complains to the ref leaving the defense constantly playing 4 on 5. He sets a terrible example as a leader. He's an incredible player, but he could be so much more with the right attitude.

  16. They played the cavs back to back with Luck they got blown out without him they cam so close to winning Just saying

  17. This year has been a huge let down for me. I was expecting so much more, and now my expectations are shrinking by the day. Maybe they're going to click yet.

  18. You can say this with every damn star in the league that hasn't won a championship. Stop creating drama. Luka is going to be loyal like Dirk and Kobe and win with their team a ship.

  19. Man Dallas about to pull an OG Magic move, we lost star players and made horrible rookie trades before it was popular

  20. Gotta lot of nice young pieces here in Houston. If he likes the weather but wants another team we’d love to have him.

  21. I've been saying this since his second season after. KP didn't play what I was expecting. I feel that the team was actually better before that trade, Dennis SJ, Jordan, Barnes, Wesley Matthews…That trade turned out the be the worst move because players like Dorian, Maxi, Powell (bench players) went to the first team. They are good bench players but not for the first team if you want to win anything. Luka´s ability manage to mask their weak level. From this roster I would trade anyone except Luka, of course, Wood, Dinwiddie.

  22. Yuta wakahashi would be a great pick for the lava since he has the defence to make up for Luka and has a great 3 point shot

  23. I don't see him leaving. He is not from the USA. No offense, it's just a different cultural thing. Considering where he is from.

  24. Plain and simple a franchise player won’t stay for long if you don’t have any role players or at least one mid star or star player to him out when he’s struggling otherwise that player will get frustrated and ask for a trade or just stick around mediocrity and take the money …

  25. Then you have Mark Cuban who is more concerned with poo pooing on the fans for pointing all this out instead of focusing on being the owner of the team

  26. Mark Cuban is bad at acquiring players. He should be trying to build a team but instead is relying on 1 guy as he did Dirk. Might not work this time.
