[Statmuse] Jokic non-advanced stats: — 25/11/9 on 62% — First seed in West — Leads NBA in +/- — Tied 1st in double doubles — Tied 1st in triple doubles — Most APG by a center ever — First ever 25/10/5 season on 60 FG% If you’re curious: yes, he leads the league in PER, WS, BPM and VORP.

I made so much money betting on him to win MVP around this time last year when he was trailing other guys in odds. He’s a great player but also probably more dirty than he gets credit for. A little bit of a hot head.

It’s kind of amazing that the Nuggets are in 1st with a point differential about half as good as the Knicks. I’d be stunned if the Nuggets finish with the 1 seed though, too many other good teams.

Schnorps and Vorps aren’t the only way Jokic is MVP. sorry guys

i don’t want to hear any bullshit about how tatum or giannis deserve it when the celtics or bucks end up with a better record and both of them have worse statistical seasons than Jokic and Embiid this year and last.

I’m not sure he’ll win it without a better record than Milwaukee or Boston (KD is lurking right there too). But he’s every bit deserving of being in the conversation.

    it’s gonna be another Jokic 1st Embiid 2nd season isn’t it…

Joker is a great player if you like flaming out in the playoffs every year.

Plus, he’s a delight to watch.

Much better than Embiid, especially in the playoffs.

I still don’t think he’ll win a 3rd MVP in a row. He’s doesn’t have the “no help” narrative anymore now that Jamal Murray is back. Combine that with lack of playoff success, which matters considering he’s already won back to back, voters will likely vote someone new or just Giannis again.

He’s been the most impactful and dominant offensive player in the league the past 2+ regular seasons.

The Nuggets ofrtg when he is on the floor is NUTS. This season it’s an absurd 127 or something.

Though he’s probably not the best player in NBA, (you need to be the best player in the playoffs, before getting that title)…. Jokic should definitely be top 2 at worst in the MVP race.

Man if only he weren’t so bad defensively his offense almost doesn’t matter to being an actual contender.

  13. GiannisisMVP

He’s always been amazing on offense now how about defense?
