It’s not just the pairing of a Dame and Ant backcourt, but the 2 biggest offensive threats should not be the 2 biggest defensive liabilities, especially smaller guards. I know, similar things were said about CJ, and Ant is not the same player, but the fact remains. It should be a non-starter if you’re trying to build a Championship team. At least one of the guards has to have the ability to be a solid defender.
As much as I like them both at times one of them needs to be moved for a defensive upgrade by the trade deadline unless the front office foresees a better move this off-season.
