Knicks destroy Warriors 132-94, Jokić building a case for MVP 3-peat? | NBA | FIRST THINGS FIRST

Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes discuss the Golden State Warriors embarrassing 132-94 loss to the New York Knicks and debate how much trouble they are sitting in at this point in the season. Broussard explains the Warriors need to tread water while their key pieces are out with injury and hope for the best down the stretch. The gang then discuss whether the New York Knicks are the real deal after winning their 8th straight and improving to 18-13. Nick explains Nikola Jokić’s chances at a 3-peat for NBA MVP do not exist until he makes a Finals appearance.

  1. Nuggets will be in the finals with the Celtics this year. That team is too good not to be. In addition to Jokic, Aaron's picked up his game, Murray is starting to find his form (not there yet, but he's definitely on his way), and Hyland and Braun are very much underrated, and they have a very good bench. The only question mark right now is Porter Jr.

  2. You can tell Nick doesn't actually watch the games, just his favorite players highlights and comes on here to be a clown

  3. Post season success effecting a player’s chance to win a regular season award is ridiculous. Call a spade a spade Jokic is leading the MVP race atm.

  4. That fact that “voter fatigue” is even a phrase and you can’t win a regular season mvp more than two times cause you haven’t been to the finals is why these awards have no merit. The most valuable player is the most valuable player, period.

  5. For now the Joker is a regular season guy and deserves mvp if he keeps this up. Also since regular has nothing to due with the playoffs

  6. If denver gets 1 or 2 seed jokic going be right there in mix for mvp I know they wint give it to him but he will have the best season in nba or at least close to best season the guy shooting 62 percent

  7. Let me hear some REAL PLAYERS talking about "today players" not Perkins for example that average 5/5/2 in his lifetime playing basketball,I mean thats BS
IS THERE ANY PLAYERS EXCEPT SHAQ AND BARKLEY that run Inside Nba?
