  1. I posted this in last nights stream comments, but I'll post it here too.

Not trying to defend him but couldn't sleep and wanted to know why we struggled vs the zone so much, and I might have found an answer. He's a coach he should've by now ran practice on how to break a zone right? Take a look at Silas' coaching career.
    2000–2002 Charlotte Hornets (assistant)
    2002–2003 New Orleans Hornets (assistant)
    2003–2005 Cleveland Cavaliers (assistant)
    2005–2006 Washington Wizards (scout)
    2006–2010 Golden State Warriors (assistant)
    2010–2018 Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets (assistant)
    2018–2020 Dallas Mavericks (assistant)
    2020–Now Houston Rockets (Head Coach)
This man besides him actually playing at Brown University for four years has never coached at a collegiate level where the zone defense is prevalent, so he has had almost no extensive experience as a coach vs a zone look.

Now again not trying to defend the man, but then start looking at the assistant coaches. Rick Higgins, John Lucas II, Lionel Hollins, Michael Batiste, and Mahmoud Abdelfattah. Almost none of them coached at a collegiate level either. The only ones that might have had experience coaching vs it is maybe Michael Batiste and Mahmoud Abdelfattah. Batiste was a coach in euro league for a long while, but I don't know how much euro league uses zone. Mahmoud Abdelfattah was an assistant at St. Cloud Huskies 2013–2017, so not a high level collegiate school. Now you might argue half of them used to play in the actual NBA, but we don't know how much influence these assistant coaches have when it comes to adjustments and in practice. My best guess is it can't be much because we've seen our defense, and Lionel Hollins is suppose to be a good defensive coach.

I'm starting to notice an odd pattern here. Most of our coaches have almost no experience at a high collegiate level. Besides John Lucas II almost zero to very little experience on a championship contending NBA coaching staff. Our head coach is a 1st time head coach. Our GM is a 1st time GM. Our Owner is a 1st time owner. Our team has bunch of young guys with almost zero vets that they can go to for guidance. We know EG isn't that kind of guy, and we know Boban isn't that kind of guy.

You guys starting to see the pattern? Not only do we not have a few vets that was on a championship team, and can tell the young men whats it takes to win a championship. Our own coaching staff and front office has almost zero experience on a championship team.

  2. Let the Legend return we needed him to demand a trade to get assets back some fans need to stop being the petty bitter ex. We need a playmaker we trying to turn KPJ into Harden just let the beard run the point and we will be contending very soon

  3. Bare minimum for me to keep watching 1) more minutes to Tyty when they see a zone. 2) Trade or bench Eric Gordan in favor of KJ 3) get the ball to Jabari and Sengun. I will not endure going through another "Texans" experience with the Rockets. They have to show me they have brain! I do not watch or pay any attention to the Texan anymore – and I won't until ownership changes. I have other things to do in life than watch sports – they have to earn my time with excellence.
