Given where Brooklyn was in November with losing coach Nash, Kyrie suspension and grumblings of KD potentially getting traded almost every media outlet was doubting if Brooklyn would even be a team or a playoff one at that.
Fast forward to the weekend before Christmas and Brooklyn has had a massive turnaround. Coach Vaughn has implemented a great new system in Brooklyn that has led to a new team style basketball with a focus on being accountable on the defensive side.
The big three of Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons have played a stretch of games together and are starting to build that chemistry and continuity that the original core could never do.
But the biggest part of Brooklyn success is their versatile bench. Yuta Watanabe tj warren Seth curry Edmond Sumner Nic Claxton Royce o Neale joe Harris cam Thomas and Markief Morris have all contributed to Brooklyn recent big stretch of play.
At this point Brooklyn has worked hard to get to the 20 point win mark which is a great Christmas gift in it's own right.
But Brooklyn has bigger goals and the trade deadline is going to be important because Brooklyn wants another center so it will be interesting to see what happens.
The best thing that the trade deadline presents to Brooklyn is a surplus of options especially for center. Also the buyout market which has been a big plus for Brooklyn will play a factor as well.
Yes, beautiful basketball transcends everything we talk about. So? If it keeps happening, we just watch it smiling. If/when things go poorly, we pick it part, because we want the nets to be making magic consintently. Maybe mamba or anyone – ostertag even – will save our enjoyment . But the truth is? The nets have it all we need
We have to beat the bucks tomorrow I hope Kyrie play because we will need him for sure but we definitely need a big who fits in to what we do our playing style
