At some point they need to be competitive. I think coaching is subpar and Cade as been injured and that’s a big concern. I don’t blame Weaver I think the moves are right but this isn’t trending where it needs to.
The NBA wants Victor on the Spurs. Pistons not getting the #1 pick even with the worst pick. We dropped to spots down Jus from this last draft. Casey is not the guy.
Cade won't be here for long. Bust. I've called out the horrific defense all year and Piston simps jumped my shit saying "They're young! They are learning asshole!" Defense is effort and coaching. These Pistons are soft AF.
These critiques are too harsh. I see the team playing hard, they just lack some top talent and consistency because of all the injuries and line up changes and being a young team, with 2 rookies getting a lot of playing time. We saw them starting to gel at the end of last season and I think they would get back to that if it weren't for injuries, but my suspicion is that they're already in tank mode and probably low key have been for a while. Even if they don't get Wembanyama adding another top 5 talent still improves the team, but it's going to take some more time. Look at what Memphis did building around Ja. This is his his 4th season and he's also had time off with injuries, but now they're sitting on top of the west. I'm not too worried about Cade and Ivey building chemistry, I think they'll have plenty of time for that next season when they're an even better team, in part thanks to the tank.
