Things I learned after 2 games against Houston:
The Mavs without Luka are a worse team than Houston.

Garuda was supposed to be Luka’s replacement in Real Madrid.
Luka shot 56.7% and 50%. The rest of the team shot 38% and 31.3%.

In the last half of last season, I started looking at the ESPN winning odds on their Gamecast page. For the most part, when ESPN gave the Mavs the edge, they won. And when ESPN gave their opponents the edge, they usually lost.
I'm not sure what metric ESPN is using this year but the results are far different. The Mavs have been favored in 29 of their 33 games. They've lost 13 games that they wee favored to win and won 1 game that the opponent was favored to win.
