    Who woulda thunk

  2. JaxonStormBorn

Vogel was handed a shit roster and told to make it work

  3. Was last year the season with 42 different lineups? Covid and injuries? Kinda crazy we started this season healthy and went 2-10.

  4. Vogel was a complete scapegoat, the roster sucked ass. He’s a good coach. After seeing Lebron + shooters work for 20 years it’s incredible GMs still try to go against it

  5. motorboat_mcgee

Last year’s roster was arguably worse, too.

  6. vitog123

Obvious – he was the scapegoat all along.

  7. TheWhisperingDeath

    Offcourse he never was.

Was he completely faultless? No. Frank made lot of mistakes but go to any team’s subreddit and none of them are ever happy with their head coach’s rotation and all lol. Even the likes of Pop and Kerr etc.

Having said that, I like Darvin as well. He has made some rookie head coaches mistakes but overall I have liked what I saw from him yet.

The biggest issue with the team is its horrendous roster construction. Too many PGs, zero wings except LeBron and no good rim-protector except AD. The thing with the PGs that bothers me is, if you’re a team which is small at least you would be a good shooting team. Lakers have undersized guards who can’t shoot. Absolute lunacy.

It’s always been roster comp. Totally don’t understand why either. Does the FO not watch every other successful team? It’s all about reliable wings and reliable 3p shooting. Why would you see every successful team having that in spades and not realize that’s what needs to be worked towards?

  9. Bhill2k7

Wasn’t all his fault of course….but they still needed a new coach 😂😂…..those records don’t tell the whole story either

  10. levantoo

They gave a defensive coach a bunch of small guards and washed players and told him to make it work 🤣 and he’s the one that got fired. Unbelievable.

  11. behappysometimes

He was absolutely a problem. His lineups were also complete dogshit and he had zero offensive identity beyond, “Bron pass the ball to somebody.”

  12. The problem is elsewhere, but Rob still refuses to admit it!

  13. At least ae had melo who could take over the game at times

  14. Snifflymoth416

The 4 games that we could have easily won in portland, Philly, Boston and the pacers might end up being the difference with us missing the playoffs

  15. CabbageStockExchange

Vogel was not perfect but I have a hard time slandering the man who brought us 2020 and handed a garbage roster and forced to make it work.

My blame goes to the terrorist who keeps creating these shit rosters around LeBron and AD

  16. nykezztv

Most people with common sense were saying this. But they were really mad with his line ups with a shit roster 😂

  17. TonyThePunisherReyes

Vogel needs a team that can run, space the floor and defend. Last years roster couldn’t really run or defend as hard as Vogel likes we had a poor shooting roster and a “ball dominant point guard who didn’t space the floor or defend well.

You can’t give someone a roster that doesn’t fit the scheme they predominantly run and expect success much less immediate success like the front office did

  18. Ok_Concentrate_75

I don’t think he is a war time consigliere…great for having humble egos and undervalued players playing up but he isn’t a Pat Riley when you have 2 or more big egos and you can get them on a page.

  19. louisseakay

    Klutch got what Klutch wanted.

    & now we blame rob

  20. Personal-Noise-8632

Vogel has no offensive schemes gotta see past the record…
Vogel has no understanding of modern day nba lineups or rotations…
Vogel was not the right fitting coach for LaL… I like him but we should have not extended him and should of made Jkidd our headcoach b4 he departed for Mavs

  21. BaullahBaullah87

Lol this sub. Waffles back and forth. Vogel was not good at maximizing bad rosters. Ham is a first year coach not good at maximizing bad rosters. Vogel wasn’t the reason we were bad but also imo wasn’t the reason we were good. His offensive limitations and ability to get buy in towards the end w this team was shot. The front office is responsible for all personnel decisions. Their inability to assess and manage this team properly w the assets we have is the biggest glaring issue

  22. ZizouGOAT10

FO sabotaged Vogel with the Westbrick trade. Westbrick trade is, always was, and always will be the problem

  23. Vogel got screwed over and I never cared for him at all. It’s hard to tell what power he did and didn’t have anyway.

I kind of like Ham but it’s still an awfully constructed rosters
