He’s had 63 assists in 8 games, exactly his season average, so it’s not like he was just playing more pass first in these games
Also, in case FG% is kinda outdated, they’re also 8-2 in the 10 games where he’s below 50% TS
Kind of crazy that this happens lol

Overall, he’s at [24 PPG on 50.4% TS since the start of November in 20 games](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/ja-morant-ts-since-november-1-2022) on 42.0/28.8/68.8 splits, yet is still 14-6 in these games
Memphis’s depth is insane to be able to withstand this kind of shooting slump from their best player
His free throw shooting is concerning. Like I have no idea where it’s coming from. I hope it gets better
Him over Luka in the mvp rankings is a war crime
Been watching the NBA for about 15 years. I can probably count on 1 hand the number of players more overrated than Ja Morant in that timespan
Their defense can carry them even when Morant is struggling which is very important Thats why I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out of the west. Contrast that to the Warriors this year. Curry can drop 40 but they still lose because they can’t get stops.
Can someone who watches them explain why Ja is considered so good if he’s hot that efficient?
His cap hit is $12M and Bane’s cap hit is $2M. They’re deep as fuck as a result.
They’re the best rebounding team in the league, if Ja misses at the rim it’s damn near a pass to Adams
The Grizzlies are better when Ja is attacking the rim, whether or not the ball goes in. His pressure unlocks our sometimes stagnant half court offense. I don’t care what the analytics say, it’s pretty obvious if you watch the games.
Overrated free throw merchant jamickey morhollows is carried by his team. Why don’t they just trade this bum already?
Oh this guy always shits on Ja, i actually recognize that account name. Nice
Ja’s shots wernt falling but damn they were so close.
Grizz regained 9/10 Ja’s misses and scored on all of them either by putback, or Ja or the rebounder being fouled and shooting FT
The only Ja missed basket Suns got away with was on a block.
Great game overall by Ja as he lead the team with a +27.
Playing good defense and setting his teammates up with great looks at the basket.
Just like a lot of games. Ja puts the softest touch on the ball where Adam’s is able to get the rebound if it dosnt go in.
But of course if you didn’t watch the game and looked at his TS% you would think he played like shit
It is happening again
It would be interesting to see true shooting or scoring percentages if you removed missed shots where the team retained possession.
They are a pretty good team overall
Bro the griz are so good
Must be nice to have a good team around your star 😔
It’s almost like efficiency isn’t everything
Take a look at Steven Adams game log and look at his offensive rebounding, it’s absurd lol. He is actually so fucking underrated, his screens are guaranteed good looks for ja
Here we go again LMFAO
Still, this doesn’t take away from team success since they are grabbing those rebounds off his missed shots. I call that good tactics and solid team construction around Ja. For example, Denver beat them on the boards the other night and this is exactly why they lost, nothing to do with Ja’s shoot making.
What’s the opposite of a dickrider
Some stats are absolutely meaningless although we try to create a correlation
It doesn’t matter if he’s hitting, he draws so much attention from the defense, he’s one of the few players who scare defenses to where he always has an impact.
Grizzlies aren’t overrated but maybe Ja is?
Here we go again
HIM even when he has an off night. He’s good in the west.
Here we go
The Grizzlies will always be better without Ja
Only thing freer than these hollows is rent in your head
They have a great team, even if he underperforms they will still do well
