Drop coverage works when your wings are adept at moving through screens.
Philly targeted BRUNSON on their 4th quarter screens, hence why niang had like 6/7 open looks alone.
Also before ppl foam at the mouth about thibs being outdated, drop coverage is prob the defense to get the best out of both Mitch and RJ.
I don’t agree with drop coverage when you’re playing teams with great shooters but to say he hasn’t seen it since college is so stupid. You can turn a random NBA game on and see it in like 5 minutes
For the 3,565th time, that’s why Thibs needs to be fired. No adjustments, allows Randle to turn over the ball with impunity, plays like 7 players on a deep team, can’t play against a zone defense, never uses zone himself, etc. The reasons go on and on. REPLACE the COACH.
