Didn’t score, but a great defensive game from James Wiseman. Probably the best one he has had.

As much as I hate on the guy he was good today. Don’t care about the points

  2. Robotsaur

Far better than his 30 point game against the Nets but he certainly won’t get as much hype for it

  3. TheRed_Knight

Grizz had no clue what to do against him, shit was funny AF

I agree. Defense (and rebounding) is what will keep JW off the court or get him on it. His offense is good enough for now, and we can afford to let him keep improving that “on the job,” But only if he is not a liability on the defensive end. Tonight, he looked as good on D as I have ever seen in an NBA game.

His rebounding (what we really need from him) was incredible. 1 play, took out kuminga grabbing one. Love it

Wise was protecting the rim, changing shots, had good position and was grabbing boards. He looked physical and not timid. We know he can score but this is the best he’s ever played as far as looking like a nba player on the defensive end imo… hope he keeps it up, his physical presence was easily recognizable today. Good job Wise.

I know most of us loves a player that could score, but if you’re a GSW fan you will understand that being on this team won’t give you lots of chances to outscore the main players. That is why some of our players needs to shine on other aspects. And i think, wiseman did a great job on the defensive end.

entire team ignored him on the offensive end. mad funny 😂

This was the most enjoyable Wiseman game for me. He really gave the Grizz a hard time to finish at the rim. He did well staying low and getting upright contests PLUS being ready to get the rebound.

  10. Might be loss after everything that happened this game but Wiseman needs to just take Jmg minutes. If Wiseman can replicate half of his defensive performance tonight at every game. He will be solid for 10-12mins a game since his Offense was never a question but his defense keeping him from seeing playtime

I’m hard on him but that was one of his best games. Needs to build on it

I honestly think that Wise psychologically just needed to know he could score in the big league and so after he dropped 30 he can now focus on other parts of his game

Wasn’t able to watch the game so I’m ecstatic to here what yall been saying. Sounds like he heard what Kerr was saying in that interview and responded strongly

He was so solid! Scoring will always be there for him, he truly is gifted at that end. Defense, rebounding and how to move in our offense is the biggest thing he can do for us this season. Very encouraging to see him fit in this game.

JK and JW together could be a defensive nightmare if JW steps it up a little bit.

  16. Bahamut_Prime

Him and JK really did put on some great defensive plays.

Ty, Moody and Lamb with the scoring contribution.

Poole, Klay, Loon, Dray and DDV was great!

    Everyone really balled out.

His rebounding was way better and was doing things that won’t be put on the stat sheet like altering shots with his presence. The more reps he gets the better his game will be

  18. waynepowers

Wiseman had exactly the kind of game that will earn him more minutes and Kerr’s trust.

This is huge if he is breaking through 🙏

I’ve given him a hard time, but he was GREAT on D tonight – didn’t think he had it in him. Hopefully he’s turned a corner.

brings a tear to my eye as a wiseman supporter hopefully this is a turning point

Waow it’s almost like what is essentially a high school draft pick who plays a position that takes years of development needs more than 5 games to adjust to the NBA
