darvin ham is an actual idiot and all the blame should be put on him. as soon as anyone had a hot hand he benched em and put ANOTHER gaurd on the court. we literally had 5 guards on the court. he benched bron when he got 11 or 12 straight in the 4th and he benched reaves when he got hot, he benched russ when he got hot. he kept playing beverly and benched bryant for basically the entirety of the 2nd half. hes a joke who doesnt know when to sub players in or out and doesnt know how to use timeouts. it should have been obvious the mavs were getting hot on their 3rd three but he let it get closer for no reason at all.
As James Worthy puts it: 1) We did not have enough to sustain 48 minutes. 2) There was a lot of discrepancies in that third quarter that has been plaguing the Lakers as season long. Simply put, age is catching up with the most influential leader of the team. LeAge or LeHealth might be catching up with the Lakers
