[Begley] “The Knicks, at least internally, talked about the idea of acquiring Tobias Harris via trade. Tom Thibodeau spoke highly of Harris before the game. I know that he does have some fans in the organization. He’s making a lot of money. It would be a big trade to pull off.”

It would be like Toppin plus salary like Fournier and Rose. Rose can be redirected to the third team.

Edit: It would be easier for them to trade just Harris for a star in the summer. He would be an expiring guy, a chemistry piece for a blow-it-up kinda team. Bulls, Raptors?

I mean if we’re trying to compete why would we trade him for scraps

Whoops too bad the knocks have no one lol

If Harris can continue this style of play, he’s an asset to the team. We almost certainly can’t get back someone better than Harris in trade.

I’m not sure there’s anyone on the Knicks I would want in return. We’re not salary dumping Tobias for their trash.

I dont think we should trade Tobias now. Hes playing pretty good, and this year his contract is a negative asset, so our return will be bad. Next year, as an expiring contract, he will have a lot of more vaue.

What we would get from him now wouldnt be as good as his play. We should try to win this year, as we dont even know if harden will be here next year. If we fail, we trade him next year.

I’m down. We give them Harris, they give us Randle, Reddish, Robinson, Rose, Brunson, and Barrett to build our bench.

Last year maybe, but this year Tobias has been so terrific in his role that I wouldn’t trade him unless you get a great return. Knicks have nothing of value.
