Too bad we will never again see Shamet play basketball he was a good player, and he will be remembered! RIP!
PS: Just to destroy a bit of funky vibes, Bones continues to be absolutely horrendous. I came into this season liking him, which grown into being kind of whatever when he enters the game, to now disliking seeing him on court. Next step would be him becoming new Will Barton where I almost actively root against him because of how he plays. His effort on defense warrants a benching for a couple of games and being replaced by Ish Smith just to cool his head off. He was by far the worst player on the Nuggets tonight and for a few weeks running.
We saw that CB is just a rookie tonight and that is completely fine, his mentality will help him grow from being involved in high intensity basketball game. Wish Bones had that kind of mentality, because he clearly doesn't care about improving himself in any shape or form on the defensive end.

MPJ had a bad game, but his effort was there, even though couple of bad calls on him. I can't hate on the guy that gave his effort even though it didn't contribute much. Effort is all you can ask for and he was in flow of the game. Shots will fall, just stay on court MPJ, you need reps. Please take care of your body.
This is the game that has convinced me that this team can win a championship. But I will say that I hope Denver will take advantage of the trade deadline to give these guys a little more help. We are title contenders, but a semi-big addition could put us over the top.

Murray is burying the needle on the Back-O-Meter! That shot over the backboard from the deep corner is vintage Jamal! We haven't seen a shot like that from the Nuggets since Jamal got hurt. Now, we remember why Bubble-Murray was so good!
One thing no one can teach you is awareness. That shot that Jokic made in OT where he throws a look down the court to see the timer on the shot clock, then decides on best move and executes it so that ball fall into basket as shot clock expires. That is savant level "bullshit" for lack of the better word. That level of mental acumen after playing 43mins of basketball at that point with over 13 mins straight is not human. Yeah, touch, hand eye coordination is great, but Jokic's basketball mind is something not yet seen and needs to be talked more about. Will try and find the video.
btw I'm still really worried about Murray, I think he really thinks he's the man, it's okay I like that confidence and sometimes you need to hit a tough shot and he's tough shot maker, BUT you can't have him hero balling in the clutch, Jokic needs the ball in his hand unless they hard double him without the ball, it opens up all kinds of space, he can give it back to Murray or an open guy, or shoot himself…from what I've seen I think Murray is just that kind of player that doesn't care about the team winning, he cares more about him hitting the winning shot…sad 🙁

I think that AG game clincher was the best live in game dunk I've ever seen! So fitting it was against the one dude on Phoenix that was really keeping them in it.
Bones, MPJ, and Jamal to a lesser extent were forcing shots too much in this game. Those guys need to stay aggressive but do it within what's there, IMO. This game could've and maybe should've been a blowout, but always good to get that W.

MPJ didn’t have it offensively… we all know that. But HOW ABOUT HIS DEFENSE??? Goodness he’s playing like he wants to be on the court at end of games. The hustle, the body language, and his clutch time defense is actually a THING. What a win by this team.
