Gonna miss playoffs 3 out of the 5 (counting this year) Laker seasons.

I’m tired of people trying to convince us to feel sorry for Lebron. He’s the one that tried to play GM and requested to trade for Westbrook. This is his own doing

  3. sledgehammer_77

Nah he just can’t gerrymander a winning team like he has done previously.

  4. CutLonzosHair2017

Shit LeBron is to blame too. He wanted Westbrook and the FO was stupid enough to say yes.

  5. jfrodriguez1983

Well, Lebron could have put more pressure on the front office had he not signed the extension.

  6. WorldWideWes2

Lmao it’s crazy the lakers are holding onto 2027 and 2029 picks so dearly

  7. Lebron demands the FO trade for Westbrook

The athletic: the lakers a ruining Lebrons team!

    Give me a fucking break

  8. HoelEmbellyDancer

Don’t remember anyone giving a shit about wasting MJ’s greatness when he was on the Wizards

  9. This is even worse than when they say the Warriors are wasting Curry.

    – the Lakers can’t force Davis to be healthy

    – LeBron wanted Westbrook

Then again, with the Warriors luxury tax, maybe it’s still worse to say it with Steph.

Lebron is my favourite player but he signed the extension (and probably regrets it)

He should have went back to Cleveland

I dream of a world where LeBron ever had competent teammates. If you gave LeBron Pippen he would have 10 rings.

  12. AngsMcgyvr

Last week it was Sports Illustrated and now the Athletic.

Sports media is demanding the Lakers trade those picks.

  13. KneelBeforeCube

The guy still signed a max extension after the FO made zero coherent move to improve the team. He wasted himself.

  14. I love these comments. Because it’s LeBron, it’s easy upvotes to just shit on him and absolve Pelinka and Jeanie. No competent FO executes that Russ trade, period. They almost gave $84M to Dennis who is now firmly a min contract guard and someone a contender like Boston couldn’t wait to offload.

The article, for those who read, did place some blame on LeBron for his “input into the Russ trade”. Don’t let the headline catalyze your hate.

Counterpoint: LeBron the GM caused most of the current roster construction issues and he is a bit of a good stats bad team guy right now. Doesn’t mean he isn’t playing amazingly well for a dude his age but plenty of other folks have been more competitive with less and even when they had AD they were sub500.

  16. TheLilart

    He could have left.

    Hes doing it to himself.

  17. lilberfcontrol

Why is there this pity campaign for LeBron? He chose WB to add to this already broken team and somehow we have to feel sorry for him and his choices? He’s fine. At this point, he’s aiming for 40k points and to seek out other records to break.

  18. tenqajapan

I mean it looked like it’d work if AD was healthy. LeBron had a say in how to build the roster but AD’s a friggin headache.

  19. huntthefront91

How long until the “LeBron – heading home (again)?” articles start popping up?

  20. weauxmack

Yeah day to davis and a washed westbrick’s not gonna cut it

  21. jumboponcho

I’ll never get over how people blame high-profile players like KD and Lebron for roster construction and play-calling and absolve GMs and coaches like Nash and Pelinka who actually have that in their job descriptions

  22. AncientMarsupial3

Some of these comments are genuinely hilarious.

  23. Snuggle__Monster

They have a championship to show for it.

  24. Lakers2024NbaChamp

Trade him to Celtics for Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart
