On an interview released on 21st of December (interviews are almost always recorded a couple of days before they’re released), Ja said “he’s not scared” of the west. Since making that declaration, the Grizzlies have lost to the Nuggets, the Warriors without Curry, and the Suns without Booker, Payne, and Cam Johnson. His lone victory came against the same undermanned version of the Suns. I think it’s completely valid to say he should be worried about the teams in the West at this juncture.
