  1. Ryan is overlooking the most important reason why the offense is predictable…no one else on the team commands a double team or breaks down defenders off the dribble. Murray is good but he's also a smallish guard. The teams that are better than them all have at least one guy 6"7 or taller who can create in the half court. So with the Hawks there is no inside attack w/o the pick n roll. I'm so sick of hearing about DeAndre Hunter. He's a bust. He's the new Marvin Williams. The lob is the only go-to offense they have and that's not Trae's fault.

  2. Ryen: im not gonna argue with the counting stats people

Also Ryen: reads off a bunch of counting stats

  3. Honest question as I haven't followed the Hawks. What's wrong with Trae? He's 27/3/10 and Atlanta is looking to be a playoff team. Why would they trade their star player?

  4. The problem to me, is that whoever trades for him is probably trying to add a piece to make a push for the chip, and if your team isn’t tailor made around trae, it’s just not gonna work

  5. “He wants to play this way”. Says who? Other than in the assumptions of others, what actual proof do we have that Trae Young wants play in an offense where only 1-5 pNr is run while everyone else stands around and watches?

  6. The problem with Trae is he needs that ball all the time to create offense…..he can't even set screens and do off-ball movement to help his team in offense

  7. Trae's main problem is that he doesn't know how to run an offense or is just too selfish to do it consistently. Also despite how many assist he gets or fouls he draws, he has overall low basketball IQ. He basically plays with all instincts, no strategy. Add in having a coach with zero offensive imagination, and you recipe for an average at best team.

  8. Good take. Feels like the absolute polar opposite situation with the Nuggets where Jokic as a big AND a talented passer not only entrenched in the offense (every 2 man man he's wiling to screen for) but the ball feels alive every time he directs the flow of the offense with his decision making. Plus the rest of his teammates are constantly reinforced with what works that they directing the ball to spot up shooters, cutters or even lobs to Gordon/Brown. Best part Jokic rarely dominates the ball and he can still make a difference on both ends of the floor.

  9. YESSS PLEASEEE HE IS SO FKING GARBAGE!! Hawks made the dumbest draft trade in history this 3ft bald lollipop is garbage

  10. I think he’s overrated, still a valuable piece but I could see some team greatly overpaying to get him

  11. I would love to see the Clippers get into this potential trade opportunity. I have no idea how but the Clippers could use a shot in the arm and they have the veteran stars, Tyronne Lue, and the organizational structure to get him to buy in a optimize his talent.
