Broncos fire HC Nathaniel Hackett in his first season after 4-11 start | NFL | UNDISPUTED



The Denver Broncos have fired head coach Nathanial Hackett after their 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day. Hackett was 4-11 in his first season and it’s the shortest tenure of any non-interim Denver Broncos head coach. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe determine where the Broncos go from here.

    The Walmarts (as I call them) are going to give Russ one more year with a new HC, a new offensive scheme and an entire offseason to practice it.
    They are also going to give George Paton one more year to hire a new HC, find players in the draft and free agency (something he is very good at) and put together a team to compete next season.
    IF Russ still stinks next season and the Broncos miss the playoffs, the Walmarts are probably going to fire Paton, cut bait with Russ and start over.
    What a disaster.

    Crazy how the good QBs can get a guy hired. Wasn't Adam Gase hired because of Peyton Manning? Wasn't Josh McDaniels hired cause of Tom Brady? Jeff Saturday has a better chance of being a winning HC than Hackett. And Russ is only there for the money and fame.

    Russ doesn’t have time in the pocket thee most sacked team in the NFL fire everyone on the offensive line and start over that’s the only thing Denver needs when it comes to players a lot of great players should be healthy next season and the need a new offensive line

    Russ got too comfortable, in all aspects of his life. He was celebrated, winning, model-esque wife, happy family and kids. He got too use to holding that silver spoon and eating that he forgot to cook. He'll be scared now and next year will show you what he's made out of, how resilient he is. I thought he came into this season looking like an old clunky chunky boy. He needs to drop a few pounds and get into the best shape of his life. If he comes into next season looking svelte, you'll know he's going to make it. If he comes in next season with an average or chunky body again, he's done.

    Let’s face it, Wilson is a bust and NOT a team guy in the locker room. They would of had a better result staying with any of the other guys at the helm.

    Broncos owners need to face the fact that they hired and paid WAY too much for an old, washed-up QB and need to let him go, they’ll never have a winning season with Wilson, and go find a young, fast, QB.

    At 34 Wilson should have 5 or more years left in him, if he's willing to do the work. It takes a lot more work at 34 than it does at 24. He's going to have work harder than he ever has to get that atheticism back. Looks like his physical conditioning and diet has got to improve. Doesn't seem like he's personal staff is helping all that much.

    One option is to bring in a young quarterback, and let Russell Wilson be the backup. Brock Purdy was the last player taken in the draft. The Broncos need someone like Brock Purdy to come in and develop.

    Shannon, what has Byron Leftwich done to be offered a head coaching position. He should be fired from Tampa now!

    Russ came into this season looking HEAVY. The first thing the Broncos need to do is demand that he comes in to camp next year lighter, quicker, stronger, and faster. Russ has become lazy… his work ethic made him successful. He is living high off the hog and football is no longer who Russ is. It is something he does. There is a BIG difference when you live and breathe something as an obsession instead of simply treating it as an obligation.

    Same Russ Wilson he hasn't regressed. Just a case of bad play calling and lousy players, who lack talent. Add to this they aren't being put in good positions to succeed.
