I think he’s right, though the attitude towards the media here is pretty funny. Felt like it was mostly OG guarding Kawhi 1-on-1 with help coming mostly on drives, which is pretty standard against stars. Only remember hard doubles when Clippers got the switch and Malachi was on Kawhi.

If I was Nurse, I’d just tell the team to not trap at all no matter what for a full game and watch as the opposing stars get switched onto our bad perimeter defenders like Scottie, Gary, Fred, Flynn, Boucher, etc with no rim protection behind them and see if we can help someone break Kobe’s record.
People here legit see Pascal either score any of the rare instances he’s guarded in single coverage, getting doubled almost every possession just for someone to brick a 3 whenever he passes out to the open man, or Pascal getting past 1 or 2 guys on the perimeter just to have to finish over 1-2 guys at the rim then look at our defense and think yeah, WE are doing something wrong.

So everyone is turning on NN now that the team isn’t winning…classic Toronto sports! Reporters are trying to build off that Embiid quote about stopping stars without winning, yet forget this was the plan going back to the championship season. When the shit goes down in the playoffs, this can work if done correctly. Who cares if other teams like it.
