I think this Chris Boucher being benched is being overblown. Coach wanted to be stay small and fast, and it paid off.
NN is tightening up the rotation. Best move was NN taking Fred out and subbing in Thad during the Knicks game for the inbound pass. NN has been more alert the past 3 games.
He just got the bag its too early to start looking into retirement. That streaming shit for old niggas like Chev. He need to focus on bulking up to help Scottie in the paint

he keeps doing 3pt attempts but he is struggling on that. most likely thats the main reason.
I don't think he will be benched for long. I actually think he has been one of our most reliable and consistent players this season. He's just had an off game or two. That said, NN is committed to wins. If you can't put up points on the board and your defence is lacking, you will be benched. I think he is an intelligent player that loves this team and will figure it out. I'm just glad that we've been able to string a few wins against some tough opponents. Last week, I didn't see us winning any of the next 12 games against .500+ teams. I sure would love to see me some OPJ and Precious back on the court soon. Go Raps!!!

Just a reminder, i'am shure. Boucher took a lot of bad decisions in the last strecht of games : three points step back, fadeaway in the paint, pull-up jumper in the mid range. Generally, too much threes. Chris need to focus and play his role. That's all. This is a message, and it will works. Boucher meditated before games. The guy know who he his, but sometimes try too much, and want to impress. We have a little list of players like that : Barnes, Banton, Koloko, Flynn (in the past). The cumulative effect is sometimes really bad. We have a slim marge of error. A sequence of 4-5 bad offensive-defense sequences and we can be 10-20 points down. It's mostly decision making and shot selection. So, this is damage control and symbolic punition time.
Other explanation : expérimentation time. Before trade deadline and the return of Otto and Achiuwa. Yeah ! Mad scientist at work : Trent to the bench, Koloko out of the starting five, more minutes for Hernangomez, 2 point guards at the same time and Flynn as a three points specialist, Boucher out of the rotation. What works, and what doesn't. Who is essential, and who is not.

I guess we kinda knew going in the bench was going to have to fight eachother for minutes this season. Chris and koloko have been pretty dissapointing the last 10 games and his peers are stepping up huge. Hope this sends a message to them they cant coast.

Juancho has been getting into the game on effort alone, his production is way worse than Boucher. him not playing against the Cavs was definitely a coaching punishment for whatever happened in practice.
