What was truly amazing about this victory was The Nets’ discipline. Despite “The Pennsylvania Polka” blaring over the P.A. system throughout the game, none of The Nets, except maybe Cam Thomas (allegedly), took that bait.
That is to say, they did not shamelessly abandon their posts, to join in that musical revelry, with custom-made, court-side accordions.
That was a major turnaround, given that 9 out of every 10 losses during the Steve Nash era was polka-playing-related, and necessitated jettisoning their greatest accordion-playing teammates (e.g. Jarrett “Oompah Oompah” Allen, James “Roll-Out-The-Barrel” Harden, Thad “Squeeze Box” Young, and Caris “1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3” LeVert).
Also, how about these new Nets’ grit? Instead of getting dragged down by Bogdanovich taunting them with long and very rousing accordion solos, both off and on the court, they very wisely chose to not even attempt to out-duel him on the “wind-organ”.
It sure paid off. Though The Nets sustained a very likely permanent emotionally-scarring defeat, musically, this gutsy NYC team came away with something almost as important: an NBA victory.

I what Kevin Durant to understand don't let nobody talk you out of being Championship contender I hear them talking about why do championships have to matter that's silly to hear that Championship is the only thing that matter is separates you from everybody else keep it going keep your Championship coming if you can. All the other stuff that they throw at you MVPs and all the other buzzer beaters leave that for the backyard get the championship always know what you're fighting for a championship to move you forward.
