Even when on the court and playing at his best gordon still isn’t worth the 120 million we paid him. At 120 million he should’ve been averaging 25 or more
Pretty simple . Trade bumlee Hayward and rozier … get melo a solid team to play with or you’ll lose him too
Walker, you’re missing one of the more important reasons that some of these guys need to go. They’re taking valuable play time away from promising young guys that we need to develop and evaluate.
If we’re losing anyway then it makes more sense to play Bouknight, Maledon and McGowans instead of Rozier. Makes more sense to play Richards, Williams and Jones instead of Plumlee.
Plum and Terry have more value than some of y’all think. PJ and Jalen are also valuable assets and we aren’t going to resign both this off-season so go ahead and decide who you want and trade the other before they walk for nothing after the season.
We’re notorious for sitting back and waiting to see what happens and we end up losing people for nothing or forced to overpay role players. C’mon man, get out there and make some moves.
What’s so hard to understand Terry is not a fit for Lamelo. It doesn’t matter what you get back, it’s addition by subtraction.
I have no faith in Mitch to make a productive trade to improve the team or build this team but hey I am just a depressed Hornets fan who is praying we make the playoffs before Lamelo leaves lol

Walker, part of the value proposition in trading players is paving the way for the younger talent by giving them the playing time being taken up by vets who are not moving the needle beyond a play in blowout which is the sum total of what the Hornets have gotten out of the the past 2 seasons. You can't afford to waste much more of LaMelo's time line with I'll fitting pieces such as Rozier, Oubre, Hayward and Plumlee. Would put Bouknight in that group as well since it's evident he needs a change of scenery. The other consideration is structuring the financial picture to accommodate the development of the young players and for some good plug in vets where the opportunity presents itself.
ayton would be a nice piece for us — melo, dsj, bridges, ayton and victor would be amazing as a starting 5 w kelly, kai, thor crowder and a few vets (hayward, williams, terry for ayton and crowder )
Getting these payrolls off the cap is value
I think that when Steve Clifford said “we still have 2 good players that we need to return” hes talking about DSJ and Cody Martin because they’ve been out for so long, in Clifford’s mind he knows Kelly oubre and nick richards will be back within the next couple days if not tonight… so he’s not talking about them he’s talking about the players who have actually been out for a while
