  1. I think I traumatized from believing in the Embiid-Horford Sixers team from a few years ago and I never really had high hopes for this Wolves team (as much as I love Ant)

  2. This was a bad trade because of how much they gave up and Gobert's contract (they can't make any significant changes). Thing is, if they wanted to take the 2 center approach, they could've traded for Myles Turner. It would've taken a lot less (a draft pick and a player to make the contract work) and if it wouldn't have worked out, Turner is a free agent at the end if the season. Just a lot stupid GMs in the league…

  3. I’m still shocked they made such a big move just to get another center. It’s not like they have teams like the Bucks or 76ers in their conference. The only bigs in the West they’d have to worry about is Jokic, AD or Zion; it’s the guards that they should’ve been worried about.

I get that KAT has his flaws defensively, but finding a better guard than D’Lo was gonna be more important since the West has elite guards like Steph, Luka, Ja & Bane, Dame, SGA, Fox, Murray, Booker; all of which are better than D’Lo.

  4. You didn’t even mention Malik Beasley who was a solid defender and shooter off the bench. This trade will probably be the worst trade in nba history. I remember last playoff talking about how I wouldn’t trade much for Rudy if I was any team and was wondering what team would be desperate or dumb enough to trade for him, not knowing it was going be my home team 😂

  5. I feel like dejounte Murray or jerami grant and possibly both with the assets they had available would have been a much better fit, I’ll put dlo on the bench any day

  6. Whoever the GM for the T-Wolves, just made them the official farm for the Utah Jazz for the next half decade!

  7. As a Jazz fan, all the Timberwolves had to do was keep Kessler and play him alongside KAT 😂. Ofc hindsight is 20/20, but man I can’t wait for those picks to convey

  8. Maybe it’s just cuz I don’t watch that many jazz games but why do people keep calling him a generational defensive player and one of the best of all time. Like even when cone says the part at 2:34 he says “ his shot blocking, his presence around the rim and his ability to alter shots” are what makes him such a good defensive player but aren’t those p much all just the same thing? I mean I still think he is a good nba player, but it seems like he can’t really guard faster and shiftier players on the perimeter so then all he does defensively is p much just taking up space deterring drives and passes? He won 3 dpoys and 6 time all defense so I just feel like there should be something obvious that you can point to to be like this is why but can someone who watches him more pls explain to me what else he does? Is it just because he’s sort of the vocal leader/anchor of the defense and good at team d?

  9. The Gobert trade was another example of a front office making a hasty, frantic decision instead of just running it back.

  10. I drafted Rudy this year on my fantasy basketball team & I’m getting my ASS TORCHED every week. Dude is by far the biggest disappointment this year. Not even close

  11. Timberwolves hurried their rebuild. Ant isn't ready to contend yet. He needs a couple of years more. And wolves needed a couple of years to figure out the kat ant dynamic too.

  12. Rudy sucks lol
    He can’t score for shit
But yet mf who have never played basketball swear up and down that he’s a winning player
    STOP THE CAP

  13. Most overrated player in the NBA. Rudy is a dinosaur in the league and shouldn't even be playing in the NBA. Naz Reid is way better and needs to start

  14. I thought this was a bad trade, even if Gobert was playing at his highest level.

  15. Honestly it’s bad but it’s not all on Rudy, mental mistakes and immaturity have been there before Rudy and will probably be there after Rudy, needs to be better but a lot of these games are fine until the wolves give up a 15 point run and then live and die by hero ball

  16. They traded the wrong players. Shoulda kept their perimeter defending wings. Also they got him because they needed a true center KAT has to step up as a scorer while rude-boy gobert needs to git gud.

  17. If I were Minnesota I would try to work out a deal with golden state in the future to try and acquire Wiseman given that if he's still there, for Rudy Gobert and bring back Patrick Beverly somehow. I know it sounds crazy, the Timberwolves really dug themselves into a hole but it's not impossible for them to dig themselves out.

  18. the timberwolves trading for gobert made no sense at all. ANT needs the paint clear to make good drives to the hoop (same like donovan mitchell), and that pairs well with KAT who is a severe mismatch for most traditional centers because he can pull them out of the paint with his shooting ability. yes the wolves needed defense but they didn’t need a defensive anchor, they needed perimeter point-of-attack guys. the wolves would have been much better keeping patrick beverly and trading for jae crowder. on top of that, the assets they sent to utah for gobert probably coulda got them donovan mitchell instead, which would have been a way better trade.

they need to admit the gobert experiment was a failure and deal gobert to a team that actually needs him. for instance like the hawks; the hawks can send the wolves back like dejounte murray and john collins to get gobert who basically single handedly solves their defensive woes. but trading away KAT because they made a bad trade in the off season is a slap in the face for minnesota fans.

  19. Yall coaching is "HORRRIBLE" yall don't run plays, one on one players, yall don't get the ball into the Paint.. Yall coach acts like he smokes weed all day. He is so laid back. He keeps his hands on his hips! KAT & yall coach have the same mentality.. Low fire😬

  20. What done is done, how to save Twolves is trade KAT since he still has value and doesnt progress anywhere. Ant is the guy for Twolves and they should built around him, Naz Reid is also a big plus.

  21. The problem is KAT and Rudy can't space the floor which is why I was so mad at the people who were saying that the Timberwolfs were going to be a championship contender or a top 4 team in the West before the start of the season because I knew this team didn't improve with the Rudy Gobert trade they will be lucky to even make the Playoffs and if they do make the Playoffs then they will be a 1st round exit again.

  22. Gobert is an elite defensive player IF you build your whole structure around him. Everything the jazz did on defense revolved around Gobert. MINN isnt doing that

  23. You cant expect Gobert to feast on anyone. He is a discount Dikembe Mutombo.

  24. The Wolves never learned from their mistake after The Garnett was traded to The Celtics. Now the same man, Danny Ainge, just made another trade with his favorite hoe

  25. I'm not buying into this "Rudy Gobert is bad" narrative. Rudy has proven to be an incredible rim protector. The problem is… you have to build your whole defensive scheme around allowing him to cheat to the rim while your other players rotate to the corners.

And then build your offensive scheme to utilize the very limited offensive skills he's got. Because Rudy isn't a real scoring threat you HAVE to use him in screens. If he's not screening the ball he's a negative. The good news is he's a great screener, and a top tier rebounder. So he gets put-back points regularly.

Despite those downsides, his upsides pay out massively IF you build around him. It's looking like this coach isn't willing to do that, so the trade looks horrific.

  26. People say the nets celtics trade was worst, but I disagree. The nets had nothing at the time and took a shot. It failed, but it's not like they were close before the trade. The wolves were close. Then made the trade and got worse. I think they are still worse than the jazz.. the funny thing, if they had made this same trade but got mitchell back instead I think they would be in a good spot
