Thought JV’s defense tonight was outstanding, even though Embiid scored a bunch. Outside of the stretch in the third quarter when he kept picking up fouls, he did a good job forcing Embiid to mostly take jump shots. Over an entire game, that’ll work out for the defense

Zion with the quietest 36 I’ve seen him have. Loved that he was taking and hitting so many short-intermediate shots. Also impressive after going for 43 the other night. The free throws could’ve been better but early he had that finger bleeding (I think that’s what happened) so I’ll give him a pass for that. Finished with a 69TS% (Nice).
15/31 (48%) from 3 is where dreams come true.
Love that we hanged 127 on the 2nd best defense in the league. This was also without BI. Pels stacked, league fucked.

WE can talk about the superstars (Zion), we can talk about the high-powered scorers in CJ, setting the new franchise record for 3PM, but the Pelicans also had Marshall and Alvarado closing the game tonight, two undrafted guys still on their first NBA contracts. If you’re looking for a new value meta, doing everything you can to nail non-first round guys is it.
Pelicans were awful at the free throw line and were terrible at closing the 2nd quarter, but Philadelphia seemed extremely undiscplined. They fouled both Willie *and* Jaxson on an end of shot clock 3s.
