Obviously they should play their wings more but it’s on the wings to improve their shooting, hit their shots, and play better.
Some of their benching is deserved. TBJ taking pull-up mid-range jump-shots is not it. His shooting slump before his recent hot-streak is also his own doing. We all know JTA can defend but his MASSIVE decline in above-the-break 3pt shooting is his own doing. His corner 3 shooting has never been great and that’s also his doing.
I really do like JTA but he’s unplayable if he’s going to shoot sub 20% from 3. For a stretch of 11 games in December, TBJ was shooting 20% from 3.
