Yes.. I agree with you 100%… That's exactly right, the coach has to make adjustments… he's responsible for who's on the floor and who's not, he keeps with the same old for far too long, and you will see that pattern through the whole week off and on… And at times it's not working… He's got to make changes on the fly-man, Nick nurse needs to take more risk from the bench,
Get creative, get some guys a second chance or third chance they done well in the past, don't give up on them now!

Yeah, I agree NN got out coached and I rarely get on NN but I've been getting really pissed not seeing the young guys get more run lately especially seeing Yuta. Before Molly Weird responds, Yuta is killing in Brooklyn not because of their system but because he has more opportunity there to get more minutes. We got three guys in Dalano, Champagnie, and Dowtin who should be playing more and my fear is losing them to another team where they do very well. The style can be changed too with iso ball on offense instead of what we saw last week with the ball movement especially against Cleveland and the double teaming on guys like Kawhi is killing us. The problem is not all NN though, I think it's because we lack a starting point guard right now we got shooting guards and forwards playing the position and not a tradition point guard like Lowry was although Lowry was a shooting guard too but he operated the offense better. We also need a center although there's no that many traditional centers out there these days it's mostly stretch bigs. Koloko will become that guy but it's going to take 3-4 years for him to develop. We might have to make a change here.

N.N believe in positionless basketball and he has picked the roster of 6.8, 6.9 to play positionless. So, the question you are asking who is the point guard? or who is the power forward? N.N says nobody and everybody.
We kept hearing NN is a mastermind and has numerous tricks up his sleeves, but it’s obvious the tricks are no longer working and the other teams are now prepared for us.
I also think NN likes to over double team the other teams star player; it is almost like he focuses on them stopping the other guy; what about what we need to do as a team to make plays and play cohesive basketball?
NN is good during playoffs where he can adjust game by game. He is not good at situational coaching. Nor utilizing players when they are hot. The iso game is clearly not working and all the other teams are having a good time defending us because all you have to do is clog the lane and there will be a panic pass to an open person in an uncomfortable position. I don't think we run plays at all, no flow. It's great that we get our defense to transition to offense. but if we really relied on that, then we have to limit other teams to 50ppg. which is impossible especially with how we switch everything – which I also don't understand. Let our best defenders shut down their best defenders. we have that ability. and for some reason, we don't care if the other team shoots threes. we desperately defend the 2 as if its worth 4 points. Like other comments have suggested, it's not all on NN, but he needs to set up the team for success and I feel like the morale is dropping with every loss that's attributed to our own team. It's always 3 on 5 with us. OG, FVV, PS, that's it. I feel like NN is trying to win so he puts his best players but we should technically be in the development stage, we are not contenders this year and we should be developing our bench as well of developing our offense so we can fight next year. I really want to know what NN is thinking and I really wish that the reports would ask the right questions and put his thoughts on the table because whatever he believes is working, is not working. We can lose all of our games but if our personnel are not getting better, then for what purpose are we playing?
Last game was coaching. Start of 3rd quarter Bo Cruz misses a corner three. Then they call 3 straight pick and rolls at the top of the key because they wanted to isolate zubac. But LA just dropped off and doubled the ball handler and left Bo Cruz open. He missed all 3 wide open threes and that was the ball game.
Honestly, I love your take on all of this, you have the same thoughts as me. So nice to hear you say all of this too about our coach. There is no fear or consequence with our players, especially FVV, he looks too comfortable. And for what? He is acting like he is Lowry already, but he hasn't done anything.

My biggest problem with coach Nurse – along with the isoball-centric offense – is the way we runs FVV (and increasingly OG, into the ground with 38-40+ minutes a game. No wonder they keep getting injured.
Fred is not built for these minutes. NN rides him into the ground during the regular season, leaving just a shell for the post-season. It is for this reason that we cannot sign Fred to an extension. By the time he hits 30 he will be a shell of the player we have come to luv. He will always be hobbled during the playoffs going forward. FVV will not age well, thanks largely to NN. FVV must be traded this season. NOT because we is not playing well now, but because NN is trying to kill him. Once Fred hits 30 he will not play more than 60 games a season and he will be hobbled for all playoffs going forward.

We have a special team that could really thrive if we move the ball with more off ball plays instead of being so iso heavy.It would be scary for everyone else.
I dont know where all the catch and shoot plays went, i remember Fred, Kyle, Norm, OG, and Danny Green all hitting tons of them in our 2019 playoff run, maybe that was a remenant of the Dwayne Casey offence they were used to running idk. Kyle was very good at penetrating then kicking it out though, defs missing that, our ball movement looked so good with Kyle damn i miss that. I just dont understand how we are missing out on all these things, like you said we dont run enough offball or on ball screens, catch and shoot opportunities, players arent moving, we cant penetrate and kick it out, and everything is just an iso with everyone left out of position. Its crazy that all of this has been missing for so long and nothing has changed yet, not even a single one of them seen any progress. Starting to get frustrating man.

The head coach gets the credit but the coaching staff is just as much of a team as the players are and the raps have lost a lot of assistants and farm coaches the last few years with Scariolo, Mutombo, and Finch headlining things. With the talent drain in the organization Nurse's weaknesses as a coach are showing.

NN calls time outs like we’re the MJ Bulls or a veteran team. You can tell how they’re supposed to be used when we play teams like the Clips. A lil run…time out, things don’t look right…time out, pace don’t look right…time out. We can’t even get back into games because the opposing coaches are always calling time out. We let leads slip away before calling time out. I get we holding them so we have them for the end of the game, but this year we need to change that philosophy.
Leading to iso scares me bc coach case used to do that. Nick nurse was the innovator.

I keep telling you. Nick Nurse reminds be of Lenny Wilkins as far as coaching philosophy is concerned. Chev been saying it.I have been saying it,other knowledgeable of the game of basketball posters have been saying it. The offensive schemes are lacking and easily defended by opponents. The extent of the Raptors offense is 1. ISO 2. Three man weave top of the key 3. Running game after a defensive rebound or steal. That’s it. No flex. No Triangles. Heck not even pick and pops like Stockton and Malone. The way teams guard today Pick and pops would destroy teams in a half court offence as these players don’t know how to guard like that today.
IMO the first team to stop formulating their offense to facilitate the open three will be the next NBA success story.
I have been noticing lots of errors with Nick Nurse and I realize that perhaps Nick Nurse is that white man who put on the suit and we just think yes sir a white man in suit must be the smartest man on the planet. This man have been faking and get carried through life and think he knows it all one this man wrote a book 📚 on shooting the only coach in the league with a book on shooting yet our Raptors team are the 30th in shooting in the NBA WTF 🤬 when I hear about Kawhi walking into the locker room and said I will guard Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2019 run to the championship right there I realize this freaking coach isn’t coaching if he isn’t come to the decision before the player then he isn’t coaching. A coach need to figure out the solution before the player because you are watching from the sidelines. I see Rico Hines stealing this coaching job very soon.

The team is not responding to nick nurse whether “we” like to blame players for their miscues or not the fact that matters is Nick nurse coaching style needs to be upgraded or the bench bosses need to be upgraded simple and plain
I have been noticing some of the coaching decisions made by nick nurse a while ago. I think he is keeping that offence until he is in the playoffs. I believe he wants the other teams to be preparing for him one way during the regular season and bust out some new stuff in the playoffs. As you said it's chess not checkers. As long as they make the playoffs. The new era does not allow a coach to be a disciplinarian. The stars of the team needs to get the others accountable. Even though he gives so much, he needs to give even more by demanding the others to be better. I am talking Pascal. We need better defence for Gary Trent. Ne needs to be competing with OG for defensive player of the year. We need Scotty to feel more uncomfortable, so as to be a better version of himself. Being the best. player on a team has responsibilities Pascal needs to call out these guys if we are going to at a Championship level.
Nick Nurse used to be known for his flexibility to adjust to existing conditions. He is no longer changing. In some way he has become the coach he replaced, Dwayne Casey.

Spot on ! The coaching recently has been quite questionable. There are too many games that we could have won that we lost marginally because of bad coaching decisions. At this point I think Ime Udoka would have had us sitting in the top 4 slots, in spite of injuries. We are much better than what we are producing!!! We have to get a grip, and quickly
Nick got to go. He just junks up the game and everyone has caught on to his BS . He can’t coach off ever, his rotations CD are brutal and the raptors are no longer an elite player development program because this guy only plays 7 guys. In fact , everyone has regressed under nurse. And he’s lost the room. Tge raps will never get out of yet 2nd round CD with this guy as head coach. ( Kawhi year doesn’t count) . Tine to go get the womanizer IME Udoka!
