Just move back the corner 3PT line & I'm happy.
All the changes that I would love after watch this video.
1) get rid off back to backs
2) star resting when not injured
3) less regular season ( max 60games )
4) taunting technical ( causing less rivalry)
5) best of 5 ( instead of doing best of 5. Try best of three)
love all of these exept the overtime first to a certain score
I hate Nick Fridell so much it unhealthy
How bout ask NBA players .
Yes we care about the regular season games !
Call travels but stop calling fouls/techs for talking
To be honest, if they were to reduce the games to 66 or so players will still sit out.
It’s crazy the guys in the older days played more games without all these stipulations than the guys now with all the advanced technology. Like playing back to backs has been like that since forever, 1 small inconvenient thing and these guys don’t wanna play 🤦🏿♂️ all they do is run up and down and shoot 3s and rarely any defense being played, this the softest generation of players
I care about regular season games, I’d like to turn on my tv on a Tuesday night and watch a game.
I disagree with shortening the season. I love everything else.
Make refs accountable for atrocious calls and techs
Refs and load managment are today's cancer
Increase fines for flopping and foul hunting. Some players look for fouls more than they look to score. Please get rid of this foolishness, grown men flailing around & throwing themselves to the ground like an upset child at the grocery store.
This video should be called ESPN proposes changes to the NBA.
anyone want no changes at all? except the trash talking and taunting techs
less games is a silly idea that will never happen. The less games means less revenue for home games and less tv revenue. Baseball has twice as many games. I think 82 is fine. Should never miss a home game for load management at the least. I want to see the best teams playing at the end, 7 game series makes that more likely to happen
Yes to no techs for anything shy of a right hook above the shoulders. I'm tired of refs getting in their feelings and influencing games. And the whole concept of the game is that if you don't want someone to talk trash, don't let them dominate you. That's Ann entire aspect of the actual game that has fallen away completely, and really made the game worse
Make a tournament for teams that miss the playoffs with a top 5 draft pick as the prize
Back to backs if your going to have them it shouldn’t be the road team playing the back to back. It should always be the home team.
Draft: make the draft order by a single elimination tournament for the teams not in the playoffs. A week before the actual playoffs. Hopefully this would prevent tanking as the team owners and GMs would still want to win games as they would have a better shot a higher draft pick. They would play players more often and not yank. (Maybe)
NO IN SEASON TOURNAMENT PPLEASE. THIS IS NOT AAU
Youll never get fewer games due to tv deals.
Cut the games by however much you want but if resting a player gives a team the better chance to win in the long run, the coach will not care about what you think and they shouldn't. I think OT is fine. End of season tourney for a high draft pick for the non playoff teams sounds great so you don't have to intentionally lose to improve. Techs should only be for non basketball stuff like Draymond pulling down shorts, fights, etc
Regular season should be 60 games, players need to stop sitting out for 'rest' (which a 60 game season would take care of), and the first round should go back to being a best of 5.
☝️🤨☝️
western conference teams only visit eastern conference teams cities once a year , meaning i can only see Lebron in charlotte or giannis in memphis once a year , so there should be a hefty fine for load managing those games
Let em play defense don’t call fouls over every thing .. players averaging 30 + now because nobody can defend nobody without fouling
Removing the take foul was a great move in my opinion. But 66 games? Nah man, that ain’t it. Many of the players we consider all time greats, played 80+ games a season throughout their careers. I understand the pace is faster, but you could also say the game is less physical, even if only slightly. Does Lebron/KD/Giannis really need to play 35+ minutes every night? I say utilize more of the roster and get these star players minutes down so they can survive an entire season. Every player in the NBA is very talented compared to the average player worldwide. Like Barkley always says, “all these guys can play”. Playing 40 minutes to stat pad doesn’t make me want to watch anymore than seeing the 12th man get some run would make me want to watch less. There’s plenty of good players that don’t get run because ppl don’t like their personality or other bs/political reasons. Aside from pace, maybe someone can explain why this era can’t stay healthy enough to play a similar amount of games like past generations of great players…Mikal Bridges playing 300+ games straight is like some kind of miracle now wow.
Fix the referees!!!!!
0:38 yes, let's get rid of back-to-backs. But as for load management? Keep it. I'm all for players' health and longevity. As a fan, idgaf if I bought tickets and you didn't show bc you're trying to lighten the cumulative load of fatigue.
Also, just to let Stephen and Bobby sit their miserable that they have to watch basketball instead or player narratives. Maybe they'll enjoy the game for once.
Less games, less money. Stop asking for things that just won't happen. Not a single successful league in history of sports has actually ever reduced games.
Let's give the consumers less than they expect, said no thriving business ever.
“The load management” is pure bogus. I feel for the fans who pay a good ticket to not see superstars play.
“Make the first round a best of 5” YES!!!
the 1st thing they can do is call "traveling" . i am tired of watching NBA games where the guy picks up his dribble an moves his original pivot foot 2 or 3 times. after the pivot moved 2 times thats an easy traveling call. no more establishing step or any of that nonsense. obviously address load management. take 10 games off the schedule. since the star players like to sit out games just take those games out entirely. then increase the fines to the owners of the teams to 5 million dollars for load managing players in any given game. make it 5 million per player. no one says the player has to play 40 minutes. play them 20 minutes and rest em the rest of the game. your either injured or your not. general soreness is not an injury from a professional athlete. that would be like a teacher taking a whole day off because they had a trouble making student in their class.
Let teams keep their challenge if they won it. Seems like a no-brainer to me but I guess the league feels like their refs don’t make mistakes more than once
Less games, sure, but also relay the plans to compensate for the lost revenue from those 16 games.
Start calling more walking, carrying the ball 🏀. Get rid of the yuro step that's just plain walking and treat every player with the same foul that's called on others. 🚏 🛑 Stop calling texts on certain players and letting others get away with yelling at the refs and letting others show up the refs and are not getting call. The games are beginning to look as though they are rigged. Let's get back to NBA style of playing. The 70's,80's and 90's were NBA basketball 🏀⭐😇. Now it's about the individual star player's getting away with fouls, Text's. The league definitely needs to check on why Golden State warriors don't get the calls like other teams. Steph gets fouls on him a lot and the refs don't give him the calls like other players.
CHARGE REFS
Did he just say 66 games smmfh stop treating these grown a** men like little a** kids. It’s always been 82 games why take 16 games off smh that’s why this generation of the NBA is a cupcake league.
