I wasn’t expecting much this season I never understood why people thought we were going to be a top team in the east we should just rebuild
Happy New Year Luca. The question I have is with the defence having been so inconsistent, wouldn't they need to sort that out first before adding?
What is the point? They are not that talented.
The team has too many flaws to be fixed mid-season. The best move is to do a soft tank and get a top 7 lottery pick. 16 of the next 19 games are against 0.500+ teams. 11 are on the road. 10 of the 11 are against tough playoff teams. 7 of those are on a West Coast swing. I'm not sure which team you're watching, but it's not the Raptors.
They will figure it out. One of the major issues is consistency in defensive effort/intensity. Not so much a talent problem. You can fix that.
no, dont bring van vleet back, at least not starting. barnes, siakam, koloko, gtj and og should be the line up. let koloko grow. van vleet looks overwhelmed.
I honestly thinks it’s time to get rid of fred and siakam and rebuild into the future, maybe even Gary if u see him not being in ur future plans. We need to fully commit to the 6’9 team ball vision. No more iso ball or hero ball. Get a good young player to put with Barnes and OG , and develop. That’s the most satisfying way forward.
What is the point of the rest of the szn ? Like if we make it in the play in , we're gonna swept by Boston or Bucks. Id rather tank for a top tier pick.

People like the Raps to rebuild but Raps fan base don’t have the patience to rebuild. Everyone cries once things don’t pan out.

Move those not performing, we know who are they. Only Pascal and OG are consistently carrying this team, offensively and defensively.

Mark my words no major changes are coming, there may be a trade in regards to Trent jr. They are not handing the reigns of the franchise to a 21 powerforward who really wants to be point guard with incredibly limited shooting skills so far.
Raptors were at the same point last year at the same time. This video and many othera like it are just proof that all of those except for NBA Chev, in Independent Raptors media are completely clueless as to what the direction of the franchise.
The team is Loaded with quick players who can drive, shoot and play defense. The long term plan was to be all fast and between 6'7 and 6'9. And create a mismatch on offense every time down the floor. Then to play agressive and fast defence with double teams and getting steals with the quick lengthy lineup. Also to use the whole bench and fast break, to tire out the opponents. Most of the plan in on target. They are working with Hernangomez and giving him playing time. The odd man out is van Vleet. So I think he will be traded. They are doing quite fine actually. It takes time and work to build. This is an incredible idea. Having mismatch on offense every time down is awesome. Only van Vleet and maybe Trent could be traded because of their length. GTJ should make for a good trade. The Raptors are already getting the steals and creating key pieces. I wouldn't expect them to worry about playoffs this year but more for development.

As long as our top 2 players are Siakam and Fred, we're never winning anything. if we played the Celtics, Bucks, 76ers, or Nets in the playoffs. We would get swept easily. wouldn't even be close.
I’m happy Koloko has the chance to play and gain experience. This season we don’t get anywhere. Why not let young players play such as koloko, Jeff, Dalano etc.
@luca rosano with too many guys making too much money soon,, i see gary trent jr and chris boucher moved at least by trade deadline. reason being juancho hernangomez can fill in for chris boucher, and is much cheaper. if you look at the coming salary of siakam supermax, og anunoby extension and rookie max for barnes, the raptors will have 98-105 million a year in 3 players, so if they sign fred vanvleet to 28 million, basically they got 17 million for 11 other players on the team left to sign and 2 two contracts. makes the team too top heavy.
Trade Siakiam to Miami for Lowry, Jovic and 1st round pick.
The team is NOT even a play in team right now…the idea of 'going after it' right now is plain silly. Come'on Luca…it's time to call it. Masai needs to sell high and bring in youth and talent.
