I was yelling about the freethrows the whole game through. Overall I was super satisfied with this game for the most part and am really enjoying seeing the team rotate to shooters much better. A bunch of the 3s that went up still came after 3-4 passes to find it whereas we were getting dumpstered from simple pick and rolls to a kickout all season long.

last throw was a little dissapointing. no clear play written down(or just collapsed) , Demar shot in a way he did not utilised at all whole game… good game overall.
Bulls still need to address issues before the trade deadline still in desperate need of three point shooting and some more wing defenders to help on the boards as well

Like I said on Twitter, Billy donovan needs stop drawing up play for demar when everyone knows that he getting the last shot, making him a decoy. & don't say" demar is clutch he should be taking those shot" you know who was clutch? Jordan, kobe, lebron, bird & Other greats. They pass the ball when to get the smart & best shot to win

Kevin love destroyed us at the home opener and this game. I was really watching some of the plays where k love was completely unguarded and it was strictly cause of lack of switching which was mind boggling at the nba level

lmaooo you are so right when u said if zach missed that shot we would be like “why didnt demar shoot it” lol but i like this game we did better i still question billys rotations but like what else is new.
It's not that DeRozan missed it but it was the style of how he shot it, but what the actual fuck is up with that rebounding and getting worked on the boards like that, like the Bulls gotta fix that rebounding issues.

My positive takeaway are these improvements, I won’t mind losing games where I see improvements from ayo, and green. Our big 3 can deliver, now if 2 other players can just be a bit below them or even on par (wishes) we can work on the consistency

We really need some rebounding. Second chance points and turnovers absolutely killed us throughout the whole game
One thing I've noticed about the bulls these past two seasons is that we don't do well coming out of the inbound. Teams read our plays to perfection and don't allow any good ball movement. Sure, that Demar shot wasn't good and he could've waited a second and not rush, however nobody else was moving to get open and the Cavs locked up all the passing lanes. The loss stings but I honestly believe this was a good loss. Stayed competitive the whole game. Even when down.

This is the game I thought we would of won if we had Lonzo! This game specifically kinda told me man I’m sad we don’t have Lonzo. The potential! But a good game! I really enjoyed this one, and was almost late to the party because of it haha.
Predictable final play. Cavs were all over it. Billy still holding this team back.
Another "hero ball" call for DeMar to take the game winning shot with plenty of time on the clock to run something else. I wonder if Billy Donovan realizes there are four other players on the floor? Why inbound the ball to DeMar far behind the arc like that? Dude is 25 feet from the basket and Bulls down by one. Wtf is that? Damn you Billy Donovan. This man alone has lost at least a few games and more for us this season with his bad adjustments, poor rotations and bad play calling with the game on the line. It's unreal.
Happy new year sir. This was probably a loss we can all accept. Maybe they can feed off this loss. Great game. Hope this will be the start of the climb to the playoffs.
LaVine should have taken the last shot, just to shake things up
People are acting like this L is no big deal when in reality the bulls can easily go 0-5 or 1-4 in the next 5. And at that point seasons over we’re not climbing out of that hole
I don't blame DeMar DeRozan for this Bulls loss. This is the NBA. Players miss shots all the time. I blame Billy Donovan. In 2023, Billy Donovan has gotta learn how to utilize this whole Bulls roster a lot more in clutch games. Not just DeMar DeRozan.
This was a good game to watch even though we took the L…I felt like LaVine or P. Will should have taken the last shot though. DeMar was well defended and forced into taking a terrible shot because they knew he would be taking it. Not to mention, LaVine was making buckets in the 4th. It was a good game either way. The Cavs have constructed a monster considering 2 of their best players were out and they're still cooking.
I said It after the Detroit game… Demar has almost a Kobe Bryant type ego when It comes to late game situations. Zach was cooking in the 4th quarter of both these games, and Demar feels like he has to be the one to take the shot every time. I realize Billy is drawing up the play, but we really need to be experimenting with more creative ways to finish games. The type of offensive basketball we play down the stretch is AAU ball.
Gotta carry this effort to the next game. A good record is made from a bunch of 5 of 7 or 3 of 4 streaks. Winning 20 straight is unusual. They gotta keep chipping away
I really dont believe fans would've come out with pitchforks and torches for LaVine if he missed the final shot. How could anyone be mad at someone who has yet to take a final shot this decade.
