I just threw up in my mouth. These idiots need to stop making mock trades.

  2. Chrispaulisgarbage

Add in a first from the heat and twolves and I don’t hate it

A fleece for who? Why would we do this? Jovic is ok a has upside but is just another wing who can’t really shot or defend at a high level. Dlo is one of the worst players in the league I don’t care what his stats say. He needs the ball in his hand to provide any value on the floor but he isn’t good enough on the offensive hand that we would want the ball in his hand more than the guys we already have. He isn’t a great defender and not a great shooter. A first is nice but if we are giving up FVV and GTJ we better be getting more back

Not a bad haul for Fred given his injury history and production this year.

Edit: didn’t see Gary in the deal, fuck that.

Do not want D’Lo anywhere near this team

We have three needs. Shooting, quality depth, and a center. This trade makes us worse in the first 2 and takes away are best avenue to acquiring the third.

This idea was conjured by a Miami fan

Sometimes people need to get off the internet

DLo is making 31 mill this year. No thanks.

Imagine being proposed one first round pick and Jovic for FVV and GTJ at last season’s trade deadline

Assuming the FRP is unprotected, it’s not quite there and needs another FRP, but both Miami and Minnesota are in a situation where they don’t have many future FRPs to trade… in Miami’s case, not until 2027, and not at all in Minnesota’s case. Russell’s basically filler. So yeah, if it’s Jovic, Miami unprotected FRPs in 2023 and 2027, and Russell, that’s probably about as good an asset return as you can get for them.

I don’t think this moves the needle enough for the Wolves either though. Lowry’s a slight upgrade for the role they need in a starting PG, but at best only moves them up to back of the play-in.

Does Russell play defence ? If not ya right…

  13. Ylissian

If y’all think Fred is bad you’ll LOVE D’Lo 😂

If Miami’s getting Fvv + GTJ for lowry, jovic and what would be like the 24th pick after fvv and gtj helps them be way better. They’re fleecing us all.

D’lo is the opposite of what you want out of a point guard. Probably a cool guy, but not a fan of what his game is. His game would feel like a taller FVV, with less character, leadership, practically finish at the same level around the rim, same diet of tough shots. + he’s making more money and is an expiring. That’s just crazy to want to trade for.

Lol how tf is this a fleece. Not that I’m a fan of Jovic I think he has potential in this league but I’m not a fan of DLO and brings me vibes where he can be a bad presence in the locker room but thats just me.

Wolves lose this trade lmfao getting aging point guard and his bad contract.

  17. dalanofanclub

    DLo’s contract is the problem

I don’t understand why this sub hates him so much. I’ve watched Minnesota a lot this year. Anyone who says he’s been bad hasn’t been watching lately

He is a really solid 3pt shooter , shot creator, and has elevated his playmaking by a mile since the Nets days. Absolute light years ahead of Fred as a passer.

He also has one of the hottest hands in the league when he’s having a good night. Dude was a lottery pick and honestly has been playing like the Nets version of himself lately. Yeah he can’t defend but he kinda brings what we lack which is a half court offense and shooting, shot creating, scoring. Besides Pascal he can actually go get a bucket. He won’t run the entire offense but he also has Barnes & Pascal who can relieve that duty. He’s good as a 2 guard anyways. Most PG’s in the game are “chuckers” unless there’s a traditional one like Conley out there

And If i’m not mistaken I’m pretty sure he is one of the best 4Q players in the league, you can look that up. We need closers.

He’s been great this year besides the start. But like I said, the real problem is the 30/per year. That’s the downside of this trade imo. If he was on a weaker deal this is a win to me

how is this a bad trade for us? y’all keep saying gary is gone in FA so getting a young player in jovic and another pick is a W. i’d do it
