  1. I’ve only watched GPII on the Blazers for 13 minutes, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

It was a bit hard for me to get hyped during this game after watching the situation in the Bengals/Bills game, but the team looks fantastic tonight. It’s hard to put too much stock into how we perform against a team like the Pistons, but there’s a lot to feel good about after that one. It was awesome seeing GP2 on the court with the team.

Downright beating up a team we should beat at home, with basically no negatives on the night? Thatā€™s how you start 2023

  4. BlackSocks88

Beat the teams we should and blow them out.

How it should be from a team looking to be serious.

  5. pretty good way to start the new calendar year

There it is..now we trade Winslow for Enes Freedom, and we are set.

  7. GP2 limping is very reassuring šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬

    Drew Eubanks. That is all.

Also I was at the game and they didnā€™t show it on the Jumbotron. What kind of clown behavior did the Pistons bench do at the end?

  9. Any chance we can play Detroit every night or nah?

Want to see Hart and GP2 both on the court

  11. Boy, did I need that. And GPII looked terrific!

Love to see all the starters except for Ant (33 min) under 30 min while we are still shorthanded. I’m so ready to see Dame plus all of the wings when we are fully healthy for the first time.

  13. Blackndloved2

Love winning games where Fred Lillard doesn’t have to take over

What kind of team loses a game in 2023? That’s so 2022.

Once again, Nurkā€™s fault. Nurk played and they won.

But great to get closer to the complete roster and see what they can do again. It was really exciting to see them attack the rim more.

lot of our dudes caught some serious air

    Lots of good things here:

Good defensive effort from everyone, especially Dame.
    Drew was a stud.
    Sharpe looked great sans fouls.
    GP2 was the man.
Anfernee was confident and his shot was falling.
    Dame was effective without scoring.

    Jerami Grant.

Normally a warriors fan, but since you have GP2 I will be cheering ripcity this year. Dude is for real and just makes the game exciting.

Really liked Jabariā€™s play tonight. I definitely have more confidence in him on the floor than I do Watford.

Totally digging the 10 assist 5 rebound 4 steal night from Dame.

GP2, 1:1 from three. Round about his average 3PA’s, over the course of his career.

Hart, 0:0 from three. Once again, not at all his average 3PA’s, over the course of his career.

Hart not shooting is a problem.

Hart is a good 3pt shooter, taking about 4 a game.

GP2 is maybe an average, or slightly below shooter, taking 1-2 a game.

The fact that POR needs GP2’s 1-2 3PA’s a game now more than his defense, is a problem.

I’m going to keep saying it until something is done about it.

Because, it’s clearly a problem, regardless of who else is on the floor at any point, in any game, under any circumstances.

In the modern NBA, your starters have to be willing to take a shot, and have to have the skills to make a shot, or else you are going to lose more games than you win.

    1) we all know his D but Iā€™m surprised at GP2ā€™s offense today (i guess itā€™s because itā€™s my first time watching him as I barely watch non-Blazers NBA games) He looks like a pretty reliable roll man in PnR. He led the league in contested fg% at the rim so itā€™s backed up by the numbers too. That opens up the game if we surround him with shooters.

    2) I like Dameā€™s defense today, tough ballhawk-ish both on and off ball. I donā€™t think itā€™s a coincidence that this happened on a night where he barely needed to carry the offense

Great to be in the Rose Garden for the first time since December 4th. Great to get a win. Great to see GP2 in action. Hopefully this home game heavy January is better than my December!

  24. Civil_Type2327

Love GPII. Him being the vocal and defensive leader of the second unit is gonna be a game changer.

    Seattle guy hereā€¦am I welcome to be a fanā€¦

  26. Good way to start the year off. Letā€™s keep this going.
