Kings enter crucial point of season, can they take advantage of schedule?

Fox 40’s Sean Cunningham, Brenden Nunes from The Kings Pulse Podcast and The Kings Beat’s James Ham join forces for coverage of the exciting Sacramento Kings.

Topics include Kings’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, their current .500 level play, should they go all in for another game changer, who is off limits, as well as another edition of The Business of Basketball based around whether the Kings will keep small group of non guaranteed contracts.

Thanks for joining us on this adventure! Big shoutout to Paul Jinkerson (@paulitition) for creating a new intro and outro for the podcast and to Brenden for creating our new overlay for the podcast.

  1. Lauri SHOULD be the prime target for the Kings. He's a budding star who would fit PERFECTLY alongside Sabonis. Absolutely lethal offense. Forcing teams to choose their poison between two 7 footers. One takes you down low and facilitates and the other can shoot from anywhere on the floor and shoots over most players. Lauri also provides length and athleticism. A good player above the rim which this team severely lacks and I can easily see Coach Brown utilizing Lauri's size and on defense to bring together a more consistent scheme. He is the realistic swing for the fence this team needs.

  2. Why is Sean so negative? Before the season he was being negative about kings this year. Can’t even talk about a make believe trade scenario. He starts shutting everything down lol someone take him to every Portland strip club

  3. To the "what would you give up" question: nothing. I'm wildly uninterested in making a big move now. Make the playoffs this year (even if you have to do it via the play-in), make them again next year after adding some depth/shooting via the MLE, send that pick over to Atlanta, and THEN make your big move to try to move up a tier.

  4. Ja is an all star, took his team to the playoffs twice, and averaging almost 30 points 10 assists and 7 rebounds in those games. Meanwhile our guy…

  5. That's so true what Sean said….the NBA is not what it used to be. I loved 90s BB, but this BB is a little boring and annoying with the refs and their touch fouls. It's so soft.
