The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad’s recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it’s rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

  1. Luka might be the best Mav ever, he is only 23, but if he never gets a league MVP, Finals MVP, or championship title, people might still give Dirk the edge.

  2. i remember having arguments with my friends in 2018 telling them that luka would be better than curry and every guard in the league. it’s just crazy to see that i was right

  3. I don't watch basketball – there is an +8hrs difference with most of the US, so I would have to be up around 3 – 6AM to catch a live game. I keep up with players based on their celebrity status. All that changed a few weeks ago – I stumbled upon a video of Luka on IG. I have been watching his highlights on YouTube since then. I don't have a deep technical understanding of the game but I can tell – he is special.

  4. Luca epitomizes why we love the beautiful game of basketball, unfortunately the way Luca's TEAM is set up epitomizes all the things that made the iso era of basketball so boring. Despite Luca being a transcendent passer and playmaker, the players the Mavs organization have put around Luca are just flat out not talented enough to take advantage of those skills. As a result, the Mavs are basically using Luca like the Rockets used Harden, where its just a one man show who cant be stopped. It's fun to watch Luca, but its not fun to watch the Mavs

  5. Life is pretty simple when you're super-athletic, that's why most people admire muscle over intelligence. Intelligence actually makes life much more complicated. Even a lot of TV NBA talking heads "analysts" seem to prefer an MVP player to look like Jordan and not like Bird, therefore players like Embiid or Giannis are getting pushed and players like Jokič and Luka tend to get pushed under the rug. Because Lebron and Zion will attract more "average" people to the sport, while Joker and Luke will only attract the smart and the hard-core.

  6. usually love your stuff and this is all spot on. but not once did you mention how terrible he is on defense. he plays defense like lebron… standing under the rim on the block, not covering anyone and on court load managing, while collecting uncontested defensive rebounds. further more lukas offensive style is "easy to guard" ~(the late kobe bryant) and while individually he will put up great numbers, his teammates will likely suffer. kevin durant is by far the leading mvp candidate due to what he does on both ends of the court and without ball dominating like Luka

  7. Well Luka is probably the most valuable to his team in the literal sense, but the MVP will most likely have to be the 1 seed to win the award this season. Unfortunately I don’t think he can do it.

  8. He has to win a title to put in this mythical pantheon. Defense is atrocious now. Donovan Mitchell just scored 71 and he’s no ATG.

  9. by a show of thumbs,
who knew he was different as nba rookie, when he and mavs had enough confidence & courage take the game saving tre
    VS Portland? (of all places)

  10. I've seen it dozens of times already, but I still love the little nerd dance he does.

  11. all good my man but nobody saying 80s and 90s era players were plumbers cause of atleticism. Guys in todays game have a ball on a string. In 80s and 90s the skill was rare

  12. Isn‘t it true that the NBA Today is different regarding Rules and D?!? Isn‘t it true that Wilt‘s time not all Stats were recorded? To much praise for me. Great Kid, even greater Baller but it‘s to early to hold him that high

  13. I watch the NBA because of Luka, and because I'm Slovene myself, I'm quite bias in who I'd like to see win. However, I don't see it happening even with monster numbers this season. I think there are a few reasons. FIrst, the fact that other people are playing out of their mind this season also, but I think more impotantly, I think that quite a few people know Luka is going to win MVPs in his career. Giving them to a 23 year old who will improve, might be a bit dangerous of killing any achievment by MJ or Bird.

I think it will be good for him in the long run to fail a bit to get the work (out)-ethinc and diet he needs for a 20-year career. If he achieves too much too quickly, he might stop improving and actually just get injured too much by the time he's 30. He has every possibility in the word to truely become one of the all time greats, and this is happening with "recovery beers" and him still not looking like a professional athlete

  14. I get luka isn’t the most athletic player we’ve seen but he is an athlete. It’s just weird that he makes it look so easy against players who should stop him. Against whole teams too.

  15. He’s on pace to be at LEAST the 3rd best point guard ever. He averages nearly a triple double already, at 35 PPG, carrying a bad team.

  16. Luka has the greatest feel for the game in the game today. I wish he didn’t carry and travel as much but that’s part of the game now. He’s the type of player that Kobe would really have respect for.

  17. You could argue that the four best players in the NBA right now are all non-American – Luka, Giannis, Jokic and Embiid. This really speaks to the game's global evolution.

  18. I don't respect him foul baiting into defenders not to mention luka has more ft attempts than prime harden

  19. There is no problem for Doncic ability wise, he is making good strides in his defense too which is his main criticism right now. I just hope he develops more as the leader of the mavs and keeping his emotions under control.

  20. IF LUKA WONT BE MVP…I COULD SAY THE NBA IS SHIT NOT BASKETBALL. LIGA..PLUS IF MAVS LIKE TO WIN A RING THEY NEED AT LEAST 2 MORE PLAYERS LIKE LUKA…HE CAN NOTDO IT. BBY HIMSELF

  21. Glad you made this video, basketball has more focus on skill/timing/awareness than people realize instead of athleticism. We’re all impressed by the guys with 40” verticals, but if they don’t have a way to consistently get to use it to score or block then it’s just a guy who can jump high and that’s it.

  22. Hi, Jonny. Yesterday, I was checking your channel for a new video about Luka. Well, here it is. Thanks so much. Also, It would be so interesting to see a series of videos: How good IS xxxx? There are names for that. Luka, Giannis, Jokic, Zion, etc. Keep the good work!

  23. I’ll keep saying this get Luka a great supporting cast and he’ll win you multiple championships. This guy is insane, he’s too good to not be contending rn.

  24. Can’t believe this man is 23 years old and you can make a LEGITIMATE argument on why he’s the best player in the world rn.

  25. If the season was to end right now, my MVP would be Jokic. Very similar to Luka but far more efficient and has the 1seed. Luka needs a little help and he can easily be an engine for a championship team and win many MVPs.
