It's Time to Take the Denver Nuggets Seriously…

The Denver Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic mounting a convincing MVP case for the third straight season, took down the Boston Celtics in what could be described as a statement game.

With Jokic playing at a historic level once again, and with Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray getting back into the fold, the Nuggets are well-equipped to continue dominating the Western Conference, and they’re looking more and more like favorites to come out of the West.

  1. meh it’s the same every year. Nuggets pop off in the regular season, just for the injury prone players like Murray, MPJ, and/or Gordon to get injured later on or during the playoffs. Also they JUST lost to the Timberwolves who have been the most disappointing team in the West besides the Lakers, but they’re teams are always a dumpster fire whenever their stars get old so it dont count.

  2. The Joker is an impact player. I watched him pick apart my Celtics with relative ease. There are a lot of great players right now. May the best man win the MVP. I'm okay if it's The Joker. The stats don't lie.

  3. The guy literally said 22% where does he think the rest comes? Finding quickly the best pass and delivering an on point perfectly times pass while lookin away and manipuating the defense.

  4. Denver’s defense is really questionable tho because jokic can be bad on that side of the floor especially in pnr defense

  5. If Joker was an American player playing for the Lakers instead of Denver giving him 3x MVP would be the league consensus.

  6. There is a certain player they should get from Utah that would be solid

  7. I like how Jokic plays a team game, his first priority is getting the score, no matter who makes it. Contrast that with someone like Luka who wants to make every point himself, and plays more of the 'star' (ball-hog). The team strategy will always be best. One must first learn to set ego aside, not a easy task.

  8. I'm not taking anything Drew Hanlen says seriously if it's not something about basketball skill in a vacuum. Dude is an ultra homer to the players he trains and needs to put down other players to be that for some reason, so weird.

  9. It’s still not, regular season doesn’t mean anything and they aren’t good on defense. Jokic will get abused by any team with a dominant perimeter scorer

  10. Win over the Celtics don't mean anything after losing to the Timberwolves who just lost six games in a row plus under man and i don't want to hear excuses it was a back to back , nuggets playing 5 games in seven days ! Great teams over comes adversity and mentally tough.

  11. Nuggets are deep offensively, but have no defensive assets!
They have 5th worst defensive rating in NBA.

Denver needs to sign a dedicated perimeter defender; someone like Jae Crowder, Jrue Holiday & even PJ Tucker. But they need to create cap space first.

MPJ is signed to maximum contract, just north of $30M/year (nearly as much as Murray)
As injuries & surgeries have slowed him down, Gordon has lately been eclipsing his game.
