[Highlight] Full sequence: Fox gets a layup to put the Kings up 2 with 0.4 seconds left, then Markkanen hits a potential game winning 3 pointer but review shows he barely missed the shot clock.

Would have been one of the craziest finishes to a game I’ve ever seen.

Fox is so fast 💨

Isn’t it a rule where you can’t catch and shoot with 0.4 seconds left thanks to Derek Fisher?
Flowtraxwolf
Holly crap man that’s one way to end a game from fox hitting a clutch layup to give the kings a two point lead to markkanen hitting a three but it just after the shot clock wow
ThatTimeInApril
The NBA is insane lately holy shit.

In post-game, Fox said by rule, and cited Derek Fisher that with 0.4 or fewer seconds a shot has to be a tip, not a jump shot.
Is he correct in this assessment, and no matter if the clock hadn’t hit zero yet, the shot would have been disallowed regardless?

I almost chucked my ipad out the window
rilesmcriles
Fox’s shot went thru with .6 left. Markkanen robbed
Crazygamer2837

I had my hands on my head like 6 times this 4th Qtr

It’s a nice a game winner highlight for Lauri, but if you watched the game… I’m not giving him much credit. Basketball gods intervened.

Kelly olynk would have made the shot in time

That pass was beautiful by Vanderbilt. This play in general reminds me a bit of Love’s pass to LeBron who hit a fading bank 3 to tie in Washington
How does the rule go when it comes to stopping the clock after a made basket btw? The ball enters the rim with 1.0 seconds left from Fox’s shot, exits with 0.5 left but the clock stops at 0.4.
Mdgt_Pope
If only they checked the clock, he would have had the time he needed
domdomburg
Fox’s layup ball went through the hoop at 0.7 seconds. That final shot would have counted if only the timekeeper stopped the clock earlier.

HEARTBREAKING! The play of a lifetime!
To quote Nelson Munce, “Ha-Ha!”
Soooo close to a Christian Laetner ending.
