North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech: In a battle of top 15 teams, the #7 Hokies defeated the #13 Tar Heels in a close contest, 68-65. With the score tied at 65, UNC fouled Georgia Amoore while shooting a three with 1.8 seconds left in the game. Amoore made all three free throws, and UNC failed to get up a potential game-tying shot. Amoore finished the game with 24 points and six assists. Elizabeth Kitley had 13 points and seven rebounds. Deja Kelly led North Carolina with 21 points, three rebounds, three steals, and three assists.
