It was impressive to see Scottie Barnes scoring on an amazing paint defender like Lopez throughout the 4th quarter and OT. There were also a few moments where he scored on both Lopez and Giannis. Scottie is special man.

Shows a lot of potential! I hope he figures out how to turn it on earlier 🙏

Ya his touch around the rim is unreal and when he’s locked in it’s really hard for guys to stop him moving downhill towards the hoop. He’s just gotta keep building his mindset up and realizing that he can blow past or go through most of the guys on the court 1v1. Loved what I saw from him last night being able to bounce back after the rough start and takeover

My impression of his play style after his rookie year was that his scoring would be very low variance (not streaky like 3pt shooting) and relatively efficient takes directly to the basket. I thought it would mean that he would slump less and could be relied on for a nightly 16 pt performance yet we haven’t quite seen this year. That said, it seems to come down to how much he actually wants to score. If guys like lopez and giannis aren’t stopping him at the rim its clear that he can get whatever he wants given reasonable spacing. I’m hopeful he asserts himself more for the remainder of the season.

He’s such a beast, can’t wait to see his growth as a player and playmaker once he realizes he can easily overpower most guys at his position

Yeah sorry Fred, you gotta go.

No hard feelings, Scottie just needs to develop.
