The Rockets TRADE that ALMOST happened! | ESPN Houston

Eric Gordon’s dissatisfaction with the Rockets and their young stars has not been a secret. Rumor has it that the Rockets were involved in a three-team deal involving the Suns’ Jae Crowder and the Milwaukee Bucks, with the Rockets being the third team. Is Gordon on the move?

  1. Stone needs to look at the list of starting point guards in the NBA. Then think of which ones might be available. Then make a trade offer. Rockets are worst in turnovers, worst in assists and worst in field goal percentage. Find a point guard.

  2. Agree we might need to look at a true PG but this coaching staff is not developing players. Things haven't really changed in 2.5 years. No game plan, no play development, no plays out of timeouts, no half court sets, 27th in offense, 28th in defense, worst in shooting %, worst in turnovers, literally every game is run up and down the court and play pick up ball. Need a coaching staff that keeps the players accountable. This isn't just a lack of point guard issue, this is a culture issue that needs a makeover. Eric Gordon should have been traded a long time ago. Pretty sure we were offered a protected first round pick by the Suns last year and Stone wanted to get more… We probably got less for Wood by waiting and now we might get less for Gordon by waiting. He needs to be traded ASAP and should not be taking playing time away from the young players on this team. They need playing time and a coaching staff that will develop them and keep them accountable. I would not be surprised if Silas gets fired in the near future. Trade Ego ASAP and a new coaching staff that has a voice ASAP.

  3. The rockets have a mismatched team in terms of talent and coaching. They need to pick a direction either coach or the players. Basically stop trying to recreate the harden years with kpj or go all in with the motion warriors style offense
