It might be interesting to look at the updated 538 stats for the Jazz. My main takeaway is what probably all of us already know: we suck at defence. The biggest issue is our backcourt. Clarkson, Beasley, Sexton, and Conley *all* are net negative contributors on defence. As we gear towards trading season, that is the one thing I would be looking for. Poor backcourt defence in today’s offensive-guard-heavy league is a massive problem. We can talk picks and trading Rudy Gay for a washing machine for days on end, but what we really are missing is that one dog that could come in and hound the opponent’s ballhandlers.
The second takeaway is LOOK AT THE WAR LAURI IS POSTING HOLY SHIT! That’s good for 11th overall in the league.
