Burn Your Assumptions about Chet Holmgren

It’s not unfair to say that the Oklahoma City Thunder have surpassed the expectations of many NBA reporters and analysis. Not only is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander having an All-Star caliber season, but the Thunder also have many young prospects that continue to show improvement and flashes of excellence.

Josh Giddey, Luguentz Dort, Jalen Williams, Aleksej Pokuševski, and many others have given Thunder fans a reason to be optimistic about the future of basketball in OKC.

With all the excitement around the youngest team in the NBA, one question has continued to amplify throughout the season.. How will this team look with Chet Holmgren

In this video essay, we break down how the 7 footer from Gonzaga fits into the playstyle of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Spoiler alert… we’ve already had a little bit of a preview (outside of the NBA Summer League).

Chet Holmgren was a standout player in high school and at Gonzaga, but how will that translate to the NBA?

  1. My concern forever about thin 7 footers is injuries in the legs with Chet, Bol Bol, and now with Wembanyama

  2. J found this channel today thru the trade that never stops vid and assumed this is some channel w prob a ton of subs and videos in the catalog already. So happy I found u early into the career this is some excellent content wow keep it up

  3. Poku have already shown 80% of what Chet can do on court.

Chet predictably is better on 1-on-1 scoring/ finisher/ defensively. Poku is better in handling the ball and sharing it.

I hope Mark next season will not only use Poku as reserves of Chet. He deserves a bigger role. I’m really excited to see Poku and Chet play tgt. The rim protection gonna be insane… and the 7 foot PnR between them 😋😋😋

  4. Any chance we ever bring back some dream team guys for crossover video?

I'd love to hear a John hamm video on weird cap rules or Mikey Berra come in and provide statistical analysis to backup your essay.

  5. Chet is EXACTLY what this Thunder team needs. Hes gonna be a problem next year. 17/10 type activities imo. Also sidebar, thank FUCK for making Thunder content. Finding a yt channel/social media acc dedicated to them is extremely difficult lol

  6. They call him a bust bc of his size but they’ll meatride him and okc In 2 hears🤣presti did a good job at building a team that can kinda do it all and all okc needs is a big man alongside cheT and he’s endgame

  7. It's crazy that OKC still has Chet waiting in the wings and hes supposed to be a superstar and OKC already has Jalen Williams playing at an extremely high level as anoth rookie and looking like another legit superstar.

  8. Love the Thunder content man! Totally underrepresented team and you're doing a fantastic job showcasing them. Videos are top notch.

  9. Ngl I’m loving your content wish you would branch out and talk about other teams tho loved your work on the the trade that never ends

  10. Amazing videos, great quality, cheers from Spain, lots of OKC fans from here
