The Golden State Warriors Have a SUPERSTAR In the Making

Yes, Jordan Poole looks like a star as of late. With a deadly shot, thunderous dunks, and impressive passing ability, Jordan Poole truly stands out on the court. But it’s not just his skills that make him special – he exudes confidence and flair with every move he makes, effortlessly gliding across the hardwood with style and grace. I mean, Jordan Poole might be the smoothest NBA player right now. With Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry out with injuries, Poole has truly taken a leap forward for the Golden State Warriors. Hope you enjoy this breakdown of this future star and make sure to subscribe and watch until the end!

  1. Poole giving his best to get wins. He has not mastered the art yet but certainly heā€™s trying his best. And once he does the warriors will be one very strong team. And right now heā€™s helping the team win games. Just too bad people notice the negative more than the positive. If it hurts to watch the warriors lose for us spectators what do you think the player feel when heā€™s doing his best but somehow it didnā€™t go his way.

  2. Pooles likes to play hero ball instead giving the ball to klay who is HOTā€¦ He is forcing things leading to turnoversā€¦ He needs to learn more from curry

  3. He's definitely got the confidence and mentality to be a star. The skills, well they aren't there yet. On this warriors team he's incredibly valuable as one of the few 3 level scorers not named Steph Curry.
But he still has plenty of issues holding him back.
His handles are incredible sometimes but he gets too flashy too often and turns the ball over as a result. He's one of the quickest players in the league but can get too in love with trying to execute some flashy 'move' to beat not only the first defender but the 2nd and 3rd too. The smartest and most experienced offensive players know that it really only takes 1 move to beat your man after that just keep it simple.
His outside shot is average at best. He shoots a lot of 3s but he's actually not that great at it. His mechanics are fine but he tends to try a lot of off the dribble and step back stuff making it more difficult that it needs to be. It's why he's at around 30% from 3 so far this season.
BIggest issue by far though is his defense. A lot of ball watching and wandering around with no plan. For someone so quick himself he gets beat easily on the perimeter. That wouldn't be so bad but he usually then gives up on the play entirely or walks around randomly. Defensively he reminds me a lot of Russell Westbrook (hint that is not a compliment). He's not as big or long as someone like Klay (who has better instincts anyway) so he can't even just rely on size and speed to makeup for poor judgement. He has shown small flashes though that if he gets in a better stance and stays mentally locked in he can at least be average and put up some resistance.

The future is bright be he is a long way from lead guard status for now.

  4. The turnovers will go down as he learns. This is his first time really playing as a starting PG. Give him a few years

  5. Draymond said in an interview: Imagine a defense team has to prepare for Stephen Curry and now they have to do that twice because of Jordan Poole.

Some say he plays like 2015 Stephen Curry, but what do you think about those comments?

  6. JP has a lot to learn. Heā€™s not an efficient scorer and is currently leading the league, yes, leading, in the total number of turnovers this season. Heā€™s also absolutely atrocious in clutch times (as demonstrated in the last 4 consecutive games – with less than a minute to play, he has committed at least crucial turnover in each of these games). The guy is getting USD30 million next year, heā€™d better realize his potential and reach his ceiling soon, like get an All Star selection or something. Otherwise he will be considered a bust – overpaid and underperforming!

  7. Poole is not improving on defense or shot selection despite heavy minutes. This is a problem . 7th in nba 3P attempts yet lower 3P% than Draymond, or anyone in the top 25 in attempts. Leads the league in turnovers. Constantly shoots and misses 30 footers early in the clock. Can't play defense at all. But can dribble like Curly Neal, that he can do. Poole is not improving at all at what he needs to, just listen to any interview with Kerr about Poole.

  8. Donā€™t get me wrong I love pools game do Believe heā€™s going to be a real superstar in this league but numbers are not everything I love the elephant he can provide in the playmaking when he locked in on the end but he turns the ball over way too much makes incredibly bad decisions in crunch time moment in the last three games pool either turned over the ball or shot a vary bad shot to look like a hero and itā€™s not only him I feel to many players when down by one will go for a three but the amazing shot he has sometimes makes him kind of predictable I love how heā€™s playing tho but he really needs to calm his nerves in close ends of games cuz his late turnovers can cost us as we saw in our last game and the game before they if DiVincenzo did not save us with that three it would of been another loss but once he gets that under control he will be the closest thing to curry in the nba
