  1. This was more of a podcast type video in a "rant" style. Of course, edit heavy videos are still on deck including film breakdowns and such. Hope you enjoy

  2. They built a team with too little shooting. Despite that they won 48. Remember this is the same roster + Otto + a better Gary and Pascal. So what's the problem? Well of course Otto's injured. Precious missed most of the season and shooting has disappeared. That last bit is the most impactful and mysterious that quite simply can't be overcome by any scheme.

As to your Nurse rant. Deranged comes to mind and without a scintilla of doubt will demand a 'I was wrong' video in the future.

  3. Trade everyone in raptors for Westbrook and harden then we can make a new torrento rockets

  4. Bravo, I was also coming to this realization. I'm sure that it's time for Van Vleet to go, and maybe even NN.

  5. Thank you for the sad truth. How I wish Masai and Bobby will watch this . A video full of painful truths, facts and fears . Just subscribed ……

  6. I’m ngl, the team is some hot dogshit rn. We aren’t shooting well, the young guys aren’t playing through their mistakes like last year, and Fred’s just been off as a mf. If they’re purposefully losing to get a top 5 draft pick for wemby, scoot, or one of the Thompson brothers, then yeah it could be a good move but this is coming off a year after we made it to PO. I still trust Masai tho. Bro will make all the right moves like he usually does. But yeah rn, raptors just aren’t piecing shit together bro. All love D

  7. Lol I was with u until u said scottie reminds u of MCW sophomore year …. yo bro that's a ridiculous take. Scotties numbers are pretty much identical to last year….and calling out Masia and Bobby is foolish after they Just brought this team and city a championship. They had 48 wins last yr and all u Fairweather fans were on this teams dick with ROTY SCOTTIE …ALL STAR FVV AND ALL NBA PASCAL !!! I can tell lot of u young fans don't realize that a championship probably won't ever come back tha city in another 25yrs plus. Show some respect to the group that got u the chip. This is a off yr but smart fans can trust that this front office can figure it out. GO RAPS!

  8. I completely agree with you… this team is extremely hard to watch and is reminding me on the mid 90’s Blue Jays. overpriced, with a few hold overs fro the glory, thinking they are still the apex. This whole organization needs to adapt now or risk becoming what the Spurs are now.

  9. You're wrong on NN just be patient, you come off sounding like a whiny, spoiled little brat. I can still remember the dark times (Bryan Colangelo or Rob Babcock era) with no hope and no way fwd the Raptors will right the ship trust in Masai.

  10. For the love of god could people stop with these "rant" style videos? They just show that without the data you have no way of thinking through anything that you say, and this goes for TONS of Raptors content creators at that. Ok, so lets break these dumb arguments down.

First off Nick Nurse. You point out right off the back that he is stunting the growth of his young players by not playing them through their mistakes and that he can't develop them, that he can't manage a locker room (which you later expand to mean that he doesn't have the respect of his players) and that his play sets are "bland and predictable" making it easy to defend and prevent scoring. So quite a bit to tackle there. Well first off lets go into the development/respect of the players comments. This one is most baffling to me because there counter examples literally STARING you in the face when you watch a game, Chris Boucher is one that comes to mind development wise as he came in during into the 905 during the year before the championship and since Nick took over has continually grown into the energetic role player he is today so think that is a pretty obvious Nick Nurse development success story. Additionally you really need to focus on more that what is right in front of your face as there WERE developmental players that looked to be heading in the right direction that were abandoned by no fault of our own, I'm talking about Terence Davis and Jalen Harris. Both players looked to be on the right track to becoming serviceable rotation players for the Raptors but the Raps traded Davis due to domestic abuse allegations (and if you say that we should have kept him despite accusations that he beat his girlfriend I think your insane) and Jalen Harris got the boot from the league until late this off season due to the leagues drug policy (won't get into whether or not that was fair to him because it is irrelevant). Additionally, just think about the success of turning draftees into positive players is. Nearly half of first round drafted players find themselves outside of the NBA after their first contract (go ahead and look up any draft 4 years after it happened and I guarantee nearly half or more of them are out of the NBA) then that success rate is down to MAYBE 10% with second rounders (again take a look at those drafted from 1-2 years ago and tell me that the majority of them are still in the NBA) and then once again even lower with undrafted players (there is a reason why only 5 undrafted players have made the All Star team in the HISTORY of the NBA). So having a string of developmental failures doesn't mean the system is terrible or that Nick can't develop, its just a reflection of how difficult it is to accomplish. This also goes to your comment about Nick not having the respect of his players, he DOES talk with other players on the sidelines during the game and you would know this if you watched any game, he primarily talks with the point guards or those who have the lion-share of play-making duties in whatever rotation is on the floor. And have we seriously forgot about how Nick has publicly called out players only for them to turn it around, I'm thinking about Boucher a couple of times over the last few years, Gary Trent this year, then entire team this year (sure the offense didn't key in but the defensive effort sky rocketed comparatively). Nearly all the times Nick has called out a player they respond with a positive turn to their game that was being criticized. Next you have another point which you seem to kind of contradict later, that Nick isn't playing his young players through their mistakes but later point out that Pascal needs to be on a winning team. Pascal can't be on a winning team if Nick is just letting his young players play through their mistakes, because lets face it thats most of what the young players are giving the team this year and I would say its what some of them were giving last year as well. We need to remember that role players are supposed to come in when called and perform and show consistency, sure that could be a difficult proposition but its not like its something players have shown little ability in the NBA to adapt to but when you see Malachi constantly not being able to defend or put up offensive numbers with any kind of consistency you can see why he gets benched, same for Dalano (just look at his 905 performances this year as they are on the extreme end of up and down and I don't think its conducive to winning to put in players who are either incapable of playing at a high level or are incredibly inconsistent, now if this team were entirely about developing and not competing you might have a point.

Now I'm seeing how long this has gotten so I'm just going to summarize the rest here. Your focusing on every singular person/group and placing as much blame as can be placed on them instead of just coming to the obvious issue, there is no ONE person to blame, everyone shares in it. Is Fred playing poorly? Absolutely! Though he is being asked to play WAY to many minutes again, which has gotten him consistently injured and it looks like those injuries are just starting to reach a critical mass where it is impacting his play overall. So its Nick that is to blame? Nope, because it the bench players and roster construction in general was better then Nick wouldn't have to play players this many minutes with the hope of winning the games. So it's the front offices fault? No, because they have limited money to work with being over the cap and have are only in the second year of trying to innovate with the whole vision 6"9 thing (don't think anything would get done if you just tried something for a season and then immediately abandoned it in favor of traditional roster building). Point is, everyone here shares in the blame to some degree but the ridiculous amount of bad luck we have had plays a major role as well, injuries put the team in a spot where they had to put more pressure of specific players who some of got injured as a result of playing more than they should have. Sure the front office could have added more but these is no way to predict that things would go this way after a decently successful version of this exact same roster was around last yr.

Overall things just need to change in one direction or the other. The vision 6"9 didn't work as we have seen its major weaknesses exposed on the floor and taking long, defensively sound players and drilling offense into them has shown to be too difficult to perform on a team wide scale. So a step towards more traditional roster construction needs to happen and the bench needs to be addressed in order to better the teams chance off success and prevent playing our starters into the ground or they perhaps they decide to just start over again, trade all of the starters except Scottie and OG and go with that, in which case we as fans need to accept they are going to need to accept that they will likely be bad for a LONG time again.

  11. give the ball to scottie and see this team's fortune change instantaneously. this has to be scotties team moving forward. the toronto media is softer than charmin grow a spine. I'm yet to see the media hold the so-called "leaders" accountable instead they blame a sophomore and the bench for these poor results. smh

  12. Ngl FVV fr just putting empty stats…. Sure ur scoring 28,4,7 but with the efficiency ur doing it? We dont need stat padder in this team…. Its a win or lose game, fck ur stats….also wtcf weve been complaining abt Nurse since last season …. Nothing has changed..

  13. I was so wrong about the Toronto Raptors this year I am a total fan of the raptors and I am so disappointed where they have gone

  14. Ofcourse you was wrong you probably never even picked up a actual basketball in your life lol your white you don’t know the sport

  15. I knew nick nurse was a bad coach when he called time out with 3 mins left in game 5 after we were on a run. Promptly letting golden state gather themselves and beat us forcing game 6. To which kyle lowry responded with WE AINT LOSING GAME 6.

Nick nurse is spread too thin with all his media and organizations and playing music and raising a child. He never was good at making oncourt decisions. I see these kinds of coaches in hockey too. They are good assistant coaches but when they get the main job they are in over their head because they just dont have the right stuff for that role. Is bostons interim coach some savant? or did he inherit a finals team? Is nick nurse a great coach or did he inherit a championship team?

Im tired of the nick nursery. Im tired of our bench guys getting 1 min a game and fearing their next shot will be their last. Im tired of Fred VV pretending hes a point guard and deserves crazy money. Fred doesnt make his teammates better, hes a streaky shooter at best, and hes not nearly tall enough or athletic enough to make space. Not to mention his bet on yourself leadership has destroyed the connective fiber of this team.

ITs time to move onto a new coach and usher in the scottie barnes era. Trade fred and flynn and maybe birch for poetl and picks.Fire nurse and ask the players to decide who the interim guy is and then look in the offseason for the next coach. How about Nash? one of the best point guards ever mentoring scottie barnes? doesnt sound bad to me.

  16. I'd be cool with seeing the raptors blow it up and accumulate as many young players and draft picks as possible

  17. Raps are in good hands and can trade everyone but OG/Barnes/Koloko/Precious and make that their core. Maximize trade assets to scout and draft correctly. Next year will be blessed long as they do this! 💯

  18. 100% right on everything. Nurse gotta go. Rebuild from scratch.

  19. The Raptors have been a playoff team for decades now. It was only matter of time until they reach their peak and it seems like this is it. They will have to restructure and reevaluate the team they got right now because it's not cutting it. The three big problems I see with this team is they have NO GOOD BENCH (compared to past seasons), no true center, and they are not a good shooting team.

The problem is not Fred, OG, and Pascal. These guys can all perform but they can't be playing these long ridiculous minutes Nurse is forcing on these guys. You cannot expect them to play well throughout the season and still have gas in the tank for the playoffs. That's why since we've won in 2019, the Raps have struggled to have a good-enough bench which we've had in the past. Until we solve the three issues I mentioned, this team is going to be the early 2000s all over again, hell even the 90s.

  20. Nick Nurse is wearing his players out with to many minutes… He should use his bench.. I am a Toronto Raptors fan from New Jersey and never been to Toronto but they have the worst offense I have ever seen in 50 years.. Nick Nurse is done and horrible.. Trade Fred and Chris Boucher or make Trevor Glesson the coach
