Texans beat Colts, Bears will pick 1st overall in 2023 NFL Draft | NBC Sports Chicago



The Texans scored at 4th and 20 in the final minutes of the game against the Colts to tie the game at 31. The Texans scored the 2-point conversion and pulled ahead 32-31. The Texans’ win and Bears’ loss secured the 1st overall pick in the draft for the Bears.

    Trade that 1st to Seattle for DK Metcalf, 2 1st rounders, and 2024 2nd round pick. With the 3rd pick in the draft, the Chicago Bears select, Will Anderson Jr. Let's go!

    I know there are several defensive ends or defensive tackles that they can get but one player they really should go after is Jack Campbell because at6-4” 245 pound linebacker… He’s got the speed and athleticism in the middle of the field much like Brian Urlacher… He’s great at coverage he can rush, the passer, and he’s great at stopping the run and getting through blocks… There’s also a couple other receivers they can draft in the third and fourth round…Mingo, Downs or Hutchinson

    I love watching Alex squirming like a giddy kid, I thought he might reach over and strangle Lawrence lol….We had the stars aligned for us. HOU playing for Lovie who is on the hot seat and we have Jeff Saturday on the other side with another 4th quarter meltdown after coming back from 17-7. I knew when Peterman was starting we were going to lose since Vikings were playing for a higher seed.

    They do not need a QB, but the bears should look for a developmental third string QB in the later rounds. I think the prospect of trading down to the #4 or #5 slot and still pick up more picks that is the best option.

    2 first from Texans then 2 get another 1st and maybe another 1st this year and 1st next year and a some 2's and threes rebild as there were not horrible as they scored. might build a dynasty

    Man. The Bears about to get Carter or Anderson.
    Ain't nobody about to give up draft capital for Young. Too many teams scared of him.
    They about to draft 1st and spend money in free agency

    I've watched a lot of beers football quarterbacks starting with Jack Concannon and so on I do not think Justin Fields is a franchise quarterback I hope they don't pass up the chance to get a quarterback with this number one pick

    I am glad, Laurence, Coach Wandstadt, AB and Lance did not analyze this last Bears game (of the 2022 Season) being overmatched by the dreaded vikes.

    Instead, talked about the excitement of what is to come this off-season for Chicago having the No. #1 Draft Pick and the weeks and months leading up to the last Thursday in April.
    Should be interesting!

    Trade with the Colts. Get Murphy with the #4 pick and probably get a couple of 1st round picks.

    I can't believe this was going live as Lovie Smith was giving the Bears a gift. The Bears haven't had number 1 overall pick since 1947 this is historic. As Alex Brown said this is franchise altering. The Bears hold the whole NFL draft in the palm of their hands. This is where we see if Ryan Poles is the real deal. Lets go!
