Coming into today, I thought Simpson Productions was set to be the next Grantland, I think it’s topped out and will never be much more than a blog. Good but not terribly impactful beyond it’s limited audience.

Homie came into the league with people saying his weakness is playing basketball, had a record-breaking rookie season, bulked up in the off-season, improved across the board dramatically in his sophomore season, but is disappointing for not being a probable ASG starter this year. 🙄
I can only imagine how deranged someone would sound for claiming Giddey would match Oscar Robertson’s three-in-a-row triple double record, let alone making this bozo’s claim that he should be expected to be the Luka Doncic of his draft class. I’d love to see someone inronically making that argument around draft day in 2021.
That being said, I’d be absolutely thrilled if he ends up being an overlooked superstar-caliber player in that vein. i won’t complain if this goofy comment manifests his meteoric rise into existence in the next couple seasons.

He’s totally right like Giddey will never work on his shot….. (which he already has……) or gain a little more strength, gain better defensive tactics with that size and IQ, become a better ball handler, get a little more athletic, or hey maybe he’ll never even be more craftier than what he is learning over years to come because he’s only 20 right?!? I think Ousmane Dieng has pretty much reached his ceiling as a player for the most part. Coming into the draft I saw him as a longer term LeBron James comparable prospect. But he’s developed pretty underwhelmingly. I still think he’s a great piece, but can’t be #1
