his shooting has come a long way since summer league

Need Ham to play him more dammit

So sad I missed the game but damn he has some serious potential, good to see that confidence rise up too

I like him.
Bill & Stu used the perfect word to describe him, “composed”

Can’t believe how fast he’s developing. Pencil him in as the starting 2 next year.

Needs a little more shot creation to get more minutes in a game like this. 70% shooting is nice though with good defense

He’s been steadily growing and getting more comfortable since he’s been drafted, I really really think our scouting department have unearthed another gem here and we’re developing him the right way. It’s kinda scary how they always hit with their picks but I really don’t want to jinx it either so knock on wood.
He’s still only 19 and playing really decent minutes for us. It’s worth remembering how raw he still is and how every rookie hits a wall their rookie year cause of the physical toll the NBA season can have as compared to a collegiate season. So I’m glad Ham isn’t overworking him and playing him here and in the G-league to make sure he can work to build up his endurance this season.
I really believe with a season of development and an entire summer along with our team should be perfect for him to be a playoff caliber role player come next season. Not to say he can’t contribute this season but we should temper our expectations. I really think we’ve got someone in the mold of a Danny Green or Eddie Jones and that’s the sort of player every team cannot have enough of.

Our 2 spot is in good hands – AR and Max

Not bad for his first start. Kobe’s first start was similar – like 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists.

He had some plays off the dribble which was dope

Kid can play. Please keep him and Reaves, please.

He’s going to get thrust into too big a role due to injuries too early.
We’re then going to expect him to be an elite 3-and-D playmaker to make up for the production.
He will succeed for a stretch of games and we will assume that he’s ready to take it on full time. Posts will be made proclaiming that it’s still too early to tell – I will downvote all of them.
He will fail. We’ll give him a contract anyway (probably at the cost of another player). He will continue to trend downwards to the player he actually is (decent, but not a player high in the rotation of a championship team)

Finally, we will trade him for scraps.
Max played 3 games in 4 nights. Tough kid.
