The Utah Utes Football Program got huge news as Cam Rising and Brant Kuithe are back in 2023 for Utah Football. What should the expectations be for Utah Football with two experienced stars returning, and what should the expectations be for Cam Rising who is dealing with a serious leg injury suffered in the Rose Bowl. Is the PAC 12 stacked, and can the Utah Utes reasonably expect to compete at the top of the PAC 12 Conference with USC and Oregon?

Donovan Mitchell put Utah on the map. Deron ran off a hall of fame coach. John and Karl was back in the 90s, time to move on from that. Don only issue was he never developed into a team player but that was the coaches fault because they asked him to be a scorer since day 1 and he did just that. He was the best scorer Utah has ever had. Karl couldn’t get his own bucket, he depended on Stockton to set him up and Stockton was never a true bucket getter. Deron and Hayward were the only bucket getters Utah had seen and they wasn’t scoring on a clip like Don
I can empathize with Don's experiences in Utah, and I had hoped he would be a vehicle for change in the state. Unfortunately, his comments post departure have only done more damage. Instead of helping to make the state more welcoming to minority groups, he has only strengthened the perception that non-whites are not welcome in Utah. That's what I find disappointing.
Spida is the real deal. Not saying perfect person but he genuinely cares about his communities, his family, and wants to give back more then he receives. Spida was planning on the jazz until the cheap Knicks started a bid war then realized they were bidding against themselves. Problem there is they went cheap and did this one thing wrong by extending rj Barrett. They pushed the jazz and that made the news. The cavs saw an opening and went all in. Not kidding here the cavs literally stopped and made a call and went all in. It was a serious offer that didn’t require the jazz to think or counter by calling the Knicks. Not like the cheap Knicks would have believed it so jazz sent Spida to cavs. Spida was golfing and couldn’t believe it because like all of us …it was suppose to be the Knicks. The debate is did the jazz give up when they had Spida locked in and maybe they could’ve kept him another year or two. Problem is we don’t know if the market would’ve paid because it was paying big with gobert get that haul.
Imo jazz benefited from Spida and also got paid. The jazz still have these picks and have proven to be just as exciting as before. The jazz just need to play out this year. Jazz will still make a trade or two this year and perhaps more in the off-season. The key this year is getting the wolves to stay lottery bound. The jazz can go either way and everyone happy but atleast get one pick in the lottery if not two.
The only people in Utah Jazz I would boo is Denis Lindsey and Kevin OConnor
Great show
Great show. Thanks for speaking the truth on Donovan. Excellent commentary. I love Donovan and he's a quality dude on and off the court.
