Have we seen lauri Markkanens max potential?
Also, what do you think about the Clarkson’s contract extension?
Not bitter, but I feel like Donovan has two faces and isn't always genuine. Casting aspersions on a group based upon some inept politician's take is terrible. The populace of Utah basically turned him into an (false) idol. He was king there. His mantra is social justice, but his big donation went to a prep school not law enforcement reform/involvement or inner city. Wish him the best, but this whole narrative is terrible for the Jazz franchise. He Mitchell experience reinforced the racism stereotype and that is truly unfortunate. I don't hear many people in Utah talking about it constructively.
I think I disagree with you David I thought he was gonna be special when I saw him play a preseason game for the G league and he had like 10 steals it was clearly obvious he was the best player in the floor and I felt he was going to be a major player in this league even an all star at that moment.
I’m an enormous Donovan fan. He did so many awesome things for the Jazz. He was a joy to watch and cheer for. It was really fun to watch him on social media going to BBQs and hanging out at college games etc. His hands on charitable work in schools etc was brilliant. I am grateful and impressed by his willingness to stand up for what he believes and confronting social issues he sees in the world and our community. He did so very publicly and his decorum in those settings was always first class.
That said, can we please admit he’s not a perfect person or player? His attitude toward the end of his Jazz run and his reaction to being traded was pretty brutal. His inability to work with some of his teammates or put in effort defensively was pretty brutal. I can see why some people would want to boo him.
Personally I will always cheer for him despite his imperfections. I’m also imperfect. I’m always grateful for people in my life who encourage the good in me. I don’t want to live my life accusatorially when I can live my life celebratory.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
Go find a better place to live then.
