Thoughts on this to bolster the bench shooting? Reddish has had a very up and down start to his career though…

    Noooo.

There is a reason he gets passed around like a hot potato for a lower and lower price each time

  2. Seems like a diva. I don’t think he would respond well to NNs call outs or playing limited minutes some nights

  3. OGnotAnunoby

Lmao I wouldn’t even trade him for cash considerations. Could see a team like the Rockets go for him

Everyone will say no but I think he’s the kind of cheap young upside play we should be gambling on. If we can get him for a second he’s worth a flyer.

He’s not an NBA quality player I think.

“Bolster him for shooting” when he can’t hit the broadside of a barn lately

would rather just pay the price to get Quickley if we are getting someone from the Knicks.

  8. Menessy27

??? He’s a terrible shooter did u confuse him for someone else lol

  9. athomic74

He’s not an NBA player. Knicks trying to fleece.

Why are we trying to add depth and losing draft picks? We need to build for the future or we will just get crushed in the play-in for the next 3-4 years until siakim etc are too old to generate a nice return

  11. One second round pick, maybe roll the dice on him. Two picks, I’ll pass. He has flashes of brilliance, but he’s very inconsistent. He three point shooting is all over the map. We need real shooters around pascal and the bench

  12. There has to be a reason this dude is radioactive. In a vacuum he would be a no-brainer flyer for any team rebuilding and looking for high upside talent or someone looking to bolster their bench for a play-off run.

And yet he languishes. Id be concerned about bringing him in especially since our vibes has not been immaculate this season.

He seems like a Detroit, Houston type of player right now.

I’d rather him come back in a GTJ trade with someone else as well like Grimes and a 1st. Wonder if people here would be interested in something like this:

Raptors Receive: Quentin Grimes, Cam Reddish, Evan Fournier, Knicks 2023 FRP

Knicks Receive: Gary Trent Jr, Juancho Hernangomez, Malachi Flynn

We can make Grimes a part of our young core, give Reddish a shot with us, and see if Fournier can rehab his value a bit for an offseason/next deadline trade or depth (could also be good salary matching piece in a win-now move in the off-season). We also get a late 1st to add some depth if we like someone or to add to a trade in the off-season

Two seconds for a project and he’s an RFA in the summer. I’m not feeling that. If they have any interest just sign him in the summer. That way if you develop him effectively you aren’t immediately having to pay him. He’s probably available for an MLE in the summer.

I’m honestly not sure if Reddish is any good.

Why can’t this guy find a home? Yet everyone is always mentioning him as a “piece” to take a flyer on.

I think it would be a mistake to buy at all this season.

I watched him play a couple of times and tbh, I was impressed. I think he has good potential.

Frankly he’s a better player than you’d get with the one you’d draft using those seconds and I think his salary is low enough to absorb him into the trade exception we have.

Only problem is he’s an RFA-to-be so you need to re-sign him in the offseason

If we can get Quickley and Reddish together then I’d consider that deal

  20. Spicy__B

SF/PF combo, we’ll take him! I’d rather get Quickly though.

  21. Raptorsthrowaway1

Not interested in Reddish to be honest. I would do some variation of –

    * Toronto – 2023 FRP / Quickly / Fournier
    * New York – Gary Trent Jnr + one of Juancho / Flynn / Banton to make room on the roster for 2 x incoming players.

Fourniers deal isnt that bad. Team option on the last year. A career 38% shooter on a down year. Maybe a change of scenery helps him rediscover his shot.
